Great video - I loved the Shining (and her other films) - but then I read more about how hard it was for her behind the scenes, and the harsh reception she got about her work after she'd worked and sacrificed so much for it, and did such a beautiful job, from ppl who misunderstood what she was doing - then I heard about her emotional difficulties afterwards - this haunted me for a long time, and it was hard to watch the film - I always wanted to see her in an interview like this, w people showing her how appreciated she is

This is the second KZbinr I've seen recently who interviewed Shelley while she sat in her car. Almost seems like they both happened to catch her while she was on her way to or from somewhere. Seems odd that these would have been prearranged interviews that she wanted to do from her car.

She preferred to do them from her car because she had a foot injury that made it hard to walk, so she’d ask them to meet her at the local park.

I also saw where they mention in another video that some of these interviews were done while she was shooting the hills movie. You can see her car is full of stuff. Before I knew this I was worried she was living in her car lol. But she preferred to sleep and live in the car while she was shooting in the hills. I've read a lot of fud concerning her, that she was homeless and living in her car or she was a pack rat or mentally unstable car dweller lol. She actually had a super nice ranch home with 10 achers of land.

@@iamhereblossom1588 Sure. It's unfortunate some are using that picture/scene as proof of the myth that she lost her mind...all because decades before she made the shining movie. The reality is the she had a great career after that movie and lived in a very nice house with 10 aches when she passed. You'll find videos even here of people promoting (knowingly) of this myth she was so traumatized making the Shinning that she became a cat lady living in her car. Some people love fake negative bull. Oh and also the reason she was sleeping in her van while making movie was because she suffered from diabetes and couldn't sleep in a bed and found her van more comfortable on location. Just facts.

I did the best I could to make Shelley look good, which meant not letter her talk too much. Maybe you could focus more on your life and your accomplishments.
