Yes but I think as a Star Wars fan we kinda know it low-key that they might had something going on back in the day because they seemed pretty close based on the BTS scenes shown here and there and the friendship they had over the years (not to mention the amazing chemistry they had off-set). That is why when she revealed it this year about it, most of the fans wasn't that shocked more like "yeah, makes sense" reaction of it. What shocked the fans were the shock and attention the mainstream media had over it (even before Carrie's death) and that it only is revealed now, 40 years later...

She blew the lid on that affair years ago in Bring Back Star Wars. I don't know why it's being treated as such a great revelation in the new book.

Carrie Fisher is funnier and way more spot on (telling the truth nobody dares to) than most standup comedians. Time, booze and pills may have made her age badly (she still looked great here, compared to a few years later). Anyway: I am a huge fan of this woman. I just love her very intelligent "don't give me that BS" approach, which already showed in "The Empire strikes back" in 1980. Carrie is too smart and clever for her own good. Surrounded by people with concrete blocks as opposed to a brain, life definitely wan't easy on her, but she never ever lost her cool! Awesome and strong woman! You go girl!

You think we guys don't have that same pressure by now? Trust me, we do. It wasn't even remotely the content of my post and I am completely against the "look" pressure we are living today. I never criticized her looks per se. I was talking about the booze and pills - I fully understand how she got there over time. She even made a clever one woman stage show out of it. +MolecularMoonlight Same for guys these days. The youth culture has gotten really strong- especially in the entertainment industry. Look at movies in the 50's to the 90s and you had a lot of interesting looking older actors. The leads were 30 to 40. Now the leads are impossibly young. Too young to credibly have the experience their part claims they have. I find it jarring.

For those of you wondering: "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht," just means "Silent Night, Holy Night". Not sure how the crowd understood that one though.

I think they had impeccable screen chemistry--it would be interesting to see them work together again on something non-Star Wars to see if it's still there.

Of all the directors in Hollywood, it's very odd that it's George Lucas who managed to capture Fisher's personality the best. Leia was a unique princess because the actress playing her was different, unruly. She is greatly missed.

She later revealed she had an affair with Harrison Ford when she was 19. Look how Harrison was nervous when she was talking about the shooting of the first Star Wars movie, he feared she would reveal it right there
