I would add Lloyd Meek if I am thinking with my Hawthorn hat on. He started the year in the twos and has become one of the form rucks of the competition. He was a big part of the wins over the dogs and saints against English and Marshall.

Waterman definitely changed opinions... We all now have one. If you had asked me at the start of the year to name the top 100 goal kickers, I don't think Waterman would have made it. Not because I thought he was crap, I just barely ever took any notice of him at all. Now I think he is channeling Fraser Gehrig's mullet and playing style.

Both McKay's/Rowell/Zorko off the top of my head. Not that people thought they were bad but similar to Heeney they have performed far above expectation this year. EDIT - Didn't know you mentioned Rowell aha....

zorkos always been good just very underrated, i reckon due to the hate he gets. but yeah hes slotted into his role at halfback very very well

Stringers improvement? Praise Allah apparently.🤔 A lot of Swans fans were pleading for Heeney to be put in the middle full time....I didn't agree, thought he was a forward mainly who could be a part time mid....how wrong I was!

Yeah, during pre-season there was ALOT of positive talk about our midfield with Heeney. Must have bulked up alot in the off season
