Good to see a tough as nails bloke, probably as hard as there ever was to play the game admitting to crying his eyes out, sometimes we blokes just need a good cry, my last time was watching red dog, had to leave the room watching it with my kids and too ashamed to let them see me cry

I think you are onto something and I think we should all listen even if we don't understand or maybe even don't comprehend what it is to be marginalised and be criticised even abused so I think it imperative we try please people TRY !!!!!!!!

It's really good to hear Leigh talk about how powerful and overwhelming emotions can be. Sports people train to silo pain, fear, self-doubt and fatigue - the things it takes to win. Sounds like Leigh got back in his former player mindset on the Kokoda Track, at 53 years of age - and maybe got close to his physical and mental limits on that trek. Then he just let it all out, privately, in his ⛺.

I was there that day at Princes Park and I follow Geelong. Yes it was a weak act but the following week I noticed the remorse on his face during appearances on TV. He knew it was a weak act. We've all done things we're not proud of, he wouldn't be proud of that but take that one bad day out and you have an absolute legend. Gary Ablett senior for me is the GOAT but Leigh must be the greatest player/coach of all time and I like the bloke.
@SilentHotdog284 жыл бұрын
@@terrythekittieful I think junior is better of the Abletts and my dad thinks senior. But of all time, I reckon Ted Whitten or Leigh Matthews.
