Giants v Swans was genuine finals footy. Hard to tell from the rest of the games who is a contender. The cats looked awesome, but weren't playing much.

@@shauncobain6271 I have, but Bulldogs effort was a really bad. Hawks on fire, but hard to tell if they will hold up with the pressure the Giants put on the Swans.

Greene got some shiners in on the juiced up Papley but Paps got the last laugh - not only did he outplay his opponents, Greene, by comparison, had a no show game, which helped his team lose. (Don’t get me wrong, Greene is the only problem I have with GWS). The only thing that will make it sweeter is if some knew footage comes to light that gets Greene suspended. 😂

I posted this elsewhere but think it is important enough to get some attention from commentators and the AFL and its fans, While everyone gets excited about Isaac Heeney's mark did anyone notice - including Channel 7 commentators, or for that matter, bother to mention, that Jack Buckley - number 44 from GWS, who was under Heeney's wonderful "hanger" probably saved Heeney from serious injury or perhaps even saved his life. Look at the mark in slo-mo. Heeney was completely upended by the grab and heading to the turf in a head down position, with his hands still grasping the ball. He had no control over his trajectory. Most high-flyer grabs usually wind up with the player landing on their side or on their back with outstretched arms providing a buffer for the impact. Look closely and you will see Buckley grabs Isaac Heeney's hand and rotates him just before impact. Heeney lands on his back. Safe and sound. Jack Buckley from GWS, you did a great thing for a colleague, very likely saved him from imminent serious injury or perhaps even saved his life - traumatic amputation of the C-Spine is fatal. As a result, footy fans get to marvel that much longer at Isaacs extra-ordinary skillset. Jack Buckley should get some sort meritorious conduct award from the AFL. I was a paramedic for 31yearrs. Trust me when I say I have seen such things for real and know what I am talking about.

Top game by this season's two best teams GWS and the Swans . The rest of the games the results went as expected . The Cats and Swans are in the box seat for a grand final berth.

Hahaha come on Kane. You kick the boot in on Bevo and the Bulldogs for getting beaten, but barely mention how horrific Port and Ken Hinkley were and credit Geelong. This weird bias has gone on for too many years. Grow up and start being consistent. If Bevo was poor, then call out Hinkley too. We know he is your 2nd Dad, but do your job and be consistent with your criticisms.

Bevo has a good list that should be winning finals. Port's list is crap, finished second but can't replace players out through injury and suspension. Compare the two teams rucks, fwds, def and mids and its only mids that you would say Port comes close. Port's biggest issues is not the coach.

I think the reality is that Bevo’s season is done and Ken has a chance to bounce back next week. If port don’t show next week then i hope he is as critical of Ken.

The giants know that if they play like that against any other side, they'll win by 6 goals. It just happens that the Swans are the most explosive attacking team in the competition.

Beating Geelong, during Geelong’s bad period by 4 points, is not 6 goals. Sorry about that. They now have to get through a rested Geelong after GWS play Brisbane. This is a tough way to go

To give him credit, he did say about 10 rounds ago that Port need to perform in finals or else it’s time for them to start looking for a new coach. Much like the Swans capitulation against Port - it wasn’t the coaches fault and few to no-one saw it coming.

If denigrating a premiership coach in Bevo is Kane's pathetic attempt to pass the buck, nice try. In the past four and last six finals games for the Bulldogs and Port Adelaide, the Bulldogs scored more than Port Adelaide (466 to 370; 302 to 244) and had less points scored against them (471 to 559; 357 to 470). Ken is currently on the worst finals run in VFL/AFL history. He has wasted lists that include All Australians, a Brownlow Medalist and a few almost-winners year after year and no rationalisation can change that.

Not to mention, Dogs made 2 Grand Finals from outside the top four and won 1 of them. Port have had multiple top 4 finishes in the same time and have gone out in straight sets on one occasion and hasn't made a Grand Final at all, in fact they even lost a home Prelim 2 years in a row.

Most commentators had Port outside the top 8 at the start of the year and they finished second. Please tell me how Bevo playing the best midfielder in the comp in the fwd line when you are losing an elimination final is good tactic. Also wtf with Macrae being the sub?

If you're Collingwood or Fremantle, you'd be kicking yourself hard after what the Blues dished up against Brisbane. And it's not even the first half that's most disappointing - it's the fact that in the second half, when Carlton started putting the pressure on, Brisbane wilted. Bring that for four quarters and you probably win that game.

You need to modify and re analyse the statistics with weighted scores. Doing x y z or having a win against a bottom 4 team or against a top 4 team with 5 key players out and having a bad hair day needs to be weighted accordingly. Otherwise your unadjusted stat's will tell you are flying at 40000 feet when you are really at 25000. Having no real accurate forecasting potential. You need to have a round table with your stat's guy to re evaluate using a control base of value. It's basic maths. Then the stat's will.have some real forecasting value The Geelong game was a perfect case in point
