I have straight, thin hair, but I thought this might still help somebody out. Years ago, I had long hair that was brittle, dull, and extremely straw-like bc of damage (heat? check. bleach? check. permanent copper color? check). Like, I used to move my hair and it would move rigidly as if it were made up of straws, not something flexible. I'd seen ppl rave about Olaplex, but I was only able to get my hands on no 3. From the very first application, my hair regained its flexibility back AND the shine, and the shedding/breakage decreased considerably. It felt soft and strong and when I moved my hair, it cascaded fluidly. I think it's truly worth checking out! The price is what it is, but at least you know that you're paying something that deserves it.

I bought both the Olaplex products. My hair has been breaking badly. I can’t run my hand through it without strands breaking off. It’s not grown past my shoulders and it’s not as thick as it was. I used this combo a month ago and I agree that’s it’s definitely an excellent strengthening treatment. I used the two because my hair I felt was suffering from some form of heat damage but not severe enough that my curl pattern was visibly changed or altered. I was trying to do the moisture-protein balance but felt it wasn’t working and my ends were breaking off rapidly every wash day. After using the treatment my hair was very strong and needed more hydration so I stopped using butters and heavy oils and my hair was able to retain more of the moisture it was getting as a result. Also I have had less breakage, smoother cuticles, easier manageability and tighter more defined coils. The increased elasticity in my hair really allowed for my hair to be stretched and not snap as easily as before.

I am so glad to hear your Olaplex experience was similar to my own. It is definitely a GAME CHANGER. Used it weekly for 2.5 months and I can see the difference in my new growth. After that period of time and treatment, I was more confident in doing a two-step protein treatment. Did my FIRST protein treatment (Aphogee gel) Friday, and WOW.....fantastic. Olaplex stopped breakage considerably but hair on my edges/temples always felt rough to the touch when dry. NOT ANY MORE. The Aphogee gel (no heat required) was easy to apply and I am so, so pleased with the results. Did not do Olaplex this week but will pick it up next week. Looking forward to seeing my results between now and mid January when I do my next protein treatment. I appreciate your videos. The sides are coily with the crown strands being a slightly looser texture. The top of my head is different it might be 3C. The hair strands on the top of my head would curl slightly with product's for 1 day and would frizz out for the rest of the week. The top of my head would be undefined until I started using Olaplex #3. Now I use both #0 and #3 every week. My hair is still short so the small bottles can last me awhile. As I'm transitioning I definitely use the #0 and #3. It's helping a lot to prevent breakage 💕 The only thing I noticed it does not give me the slip like my prepoo treatment does. I might have to switch to a Co wash (camille rose of course 💕) and then proceed to a conditioner (camille rose of course 💕) to give me tons of slip. My hair needs that to help with the detangle process.

The second time I used the olaplex O on damp hair this worked much better. I previously used just the olaplex 3 on damp hair as instructed. This worked extremely well, my hair retained moisture so much better and the elasticity was most improved. I will buy and continue using olaplex 3 again, but I don’t no if I’ll buy olaplex 0 again. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the curlsmith version of bond repair. I just tried olaplex one weekend and curlsmith's this weekend and I think I'm siding with curlsmith from now on. Would love to hear your thoughts, experience and scientific perspective 😊 I have 3c/4a, normal to low porosity.

Could you review the inkey list PCA bond? It's supposed to be an olaplex dupe that works for all hair types. I want to try it but I'm not quite sure where it fits in a hair routine. Also, I love your videos!

Great video!!! I’m in the protective style takedown process getting ready to try the no. 0 and no. 3 products together as you mentioned TODAY! Super excited to see results. After I had my 3rd child almost 6 months ago I experienced shed like I’ve never seen before. my hair has since began shedding less but I would to see these products set me back on track for long health natural coils and lots of growth. Thanks so much for sharing!! ✌🏽💕💯

Your videos are my new favorite, so much amazing info! I've been using the #3 alone with good results, but have never combined the #0. I'm eyeing the curlsmith bond repair though... please review that one?

Do you recommend the loreal for low porosity? If not can you please recommend a protein treatment for low porosity. I was considering the Curl Junkie Repair Me.. it contains: water, cetearyl alcohol, BTMS hydrolyzed keratin, helaianthus annus, sunflower oil, panthenol, keratin amino acids, hydrolyzed yeast, glycerol stearate, jojoba oil, glycol stearate, apricot oil, cetyl alcohol, peg-100 stearate, tocopherol acetate, citric acid, disodium EDTA, fragrance, propylene glycol, diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, benzyl benzoate.
