A lot of people in the comments don't seem to understand why people say "Allahu akbar" is such circumstances. It's not a war cry here. In any dangerous situation, a devout Muslim will say "Allahu akbar", "God is the greatest". It's simply an acknowledgement of God's greatness and His power over our lives. If a Muslim were to die, they would want their last words to be something glorifying God. That's all there is to it.
