LOVE those old timers! Moans, groans, grunts, snarls, hisses and musical spur-cut gears. A cacophony of sounds!

What a treat to watch those vintage subway cars and the passengers who made an effort and dressed to the occasion added some extra spice to the event.

I guess no subway performances featuring dudes doing handrail acrobatics since the ceiling fans could give you a nice haircut 😂😂

I love it, when historical subway trains are in use. In Berlin Germany we have also historical rolling stock, but not the so called "tunnel owl", a subway train with two oval-shaped front windows. But it is nice, sometimes doors, you have to close manually, leather seets, brass bars, an extra seet for the person, who tells the driver when to drive.

Mechanical relays clacking, howling of straith gearing, that specific ozon smell due to arcing between the contact points. Those old electric trains have that specific smells and feelings no modern train has anymore

@obelic71 Some smell is graphite, used to minimize track noise in curves.

Its a publicity train and I imagine you'd want to take better care of a machine from 100 years ago than one from 20-30
