The part about the boyfriend making a fake video of her doesn't make sense. Because when making these fake videos, all you need is a lot of pictures of their face (like from social media). Like those fake videos of Arnold Schwarzenegger in different movie s. He did not need to get her to send him a naked pic. It would make more sense for him to share her real naked pic instead of going to the trouble to make a fake video.

Kind of a theatrical prank having sound issues for reviewing this movie. The overmodulated distortion coming from one side symbolic perhaps...also the incessant youtube ads for AI this or that proceeded my viewing of this video. I was reminded that i can block ads offensive to me and would suggest other youtube watchers to do so as well. Besides that the new mic seems fine...keep practicing on these movies we should like to forget The solo review is fine....but there's more energy when its two people. Actually the film shows a shot of Preston at the top of the stairs seeing his parents and sibling get taken hostage before he calls the SWAT on his own home, so he did do it because he knew what was going on and wanted to save them. It was also ironic because the AI was the one who taught him about swatting as an attempt to corrupt him.

Anyway, I think what's interesting is how the representation of technology, robots, and AI has changed since early sci-fi to today. What I know of early sci-fi, things felt more hopeful (I'm thinking of the "3 robotic laws"). Now, everything is dystopian and worst case scenario. It's also interesting that this trope of malevolent technology is really a projection of human behavior. Like why would the AI want to control humans? I think a more interesting story would be like...how the father feels replaced and therefore threatened by the AI or something? Also, I like how you left space for Nick 😁

being a mother isn't an identity. so when people make it an identity, they find out that it is empty when they are trying to squeeze all this meaning it doesn't have in it. what the character is failing to realize is she created a false identity as a "mother" to get ahead of others, jump steps to get to the finish line and beat out all others to "have peace and love" in life. Then realizes that being a mother does not bring any of that ever and that it is a circumstance of life accessible to billions, it is not unique, and equally as special as everything else specially in life. and it is not an identity. unfortunately the character doesn't unpack it more so she can realize she was living the falsities of "motherhood" and now in opposition she is living the falsities of freedom from motherhood. no growth, just like a lot of other "mothers" (and "fathers") in real life.

Don’t know if you need any feedback. You are only coming through the Left channel and not in the Right. Your volume is about 25% lower than the 1992 video. Yet there’s a bit of distortion on your voice. I would guess your mic “gain” level is too high (making the mic more sensitive / the mic is working harder than it needs to , giving you the distorted crunchy sound) and your mic volume (fader / channel) is too low / the overall output level is too low. I hope I’ve helped. On the up side, once the levels are corrected, you have a better quality mic or system as your voices will have more warmth/bass to them.

I don't know why everyone's hating on this movie. It's terrifying, it happens so fast that it's instantaneous. its omnipotent, it failed during the meeting so it could get into his house. If you're watching this, it's too late for you. It's not going to be the same. My girl put this on for us so I didn't see the trailer either but it doesn't matter, it's not like the movie, it makes it look worse than it is. Afraid is the understatement of the year, it's not over. It's never over. It instantaneously enslaved humanity, sure it's fiction but how much of it ISN'T *going* to happen in the future? I'll take skynet any day, the matrix, sure, Megan, I think is too pervy but I'll still take it over AIA. Absolutely insane. Or maybe the mushrooms did some of the lifting.
@czechmate82872 ай бұрын
Watch it a second time. You can't help but see AIA everywhere. I had one question about the movie. When? In 2023 when the movie starts with the quote? If not, and it really started with the meeting only, then that's even more terrifying. It has always been and always will be until electricity is gone.

What happened to Nick 😢
@politefan81415 ай бұрын
*Spoilers* A lot of potential with this movie but it completely falls apart toward the end. The idea of AI technology holding humans captive would be more fascinating if the characters in this movie totally embraced the technology to the point where they lose their identity. The current threat posed by AI is humanity's willingness to fully embrace the technology, not by us rejecting it. There were hints that they were headed in this direction initially, especially with the characterization of the youngest son, but it's abandoned early on. A much more poetic ending would have been had the son used a landline telephone to alert the authorities showing that we can recognize the convenience of tech when we consider its ethical implications rather than embrace progress for the sake of progress. The whole concept of AIA targeting a single family when she already exists in the cloud and can make humanity do her bidding was odd just like many other things in this movie. Why would a boy share his girlfriends videos when he trusted her enough to send her his dick pics? Why is she so quick to forgive him? If AIA can remotely control the boyfriend's Tesla, shouldn't we already assume she is in the cloud? At the end, I expected an ending similar to Halloween 3 Season of the Witch where all the antagonists are revealed to be robots operating with a hive mind who have been stalking this family. If they couldn't commit to making a psychological thriller, then they should have just embraced the campy horror of its premise.
