What a great family your brother has to continue to welcome you. They sound great. Glad you are still able to keep this relationship even if it's a bit different now. I like the advice about not emphasizing that someone will be alone for Christmas. I have a friend (in another state) who is alone and he's usually upset about it. I never quite know what to say. I, on the other hand, have a husband, friend and family and many times long to be alone on the holidays! It gets too hectic running around, having people expecting you here or there when you just want to stay home and relax. Anyway, good video!

Merry Christmas Daan. It's really lovely that your ex and his family still want you to remain a big part of their lives, it really is wonderful. Wise words regarding Christmas, there's so much pressure these days placed on it. This year I've dialled it right down, we had our adult child and partner over for a long breakfast, they left at midday to visit her partner's relatives. It's now just the three of us, husband sleeping because he's come down with flu over the last two hours. Adult son with mental health needs is hiding away in his room as per usual and so I am here on youtube. It is what it is, I feel completely at ease with this quiet time. I'm not making a big meal, keeping it simple. The key is I think acceptance, this is how it is, and contentment can be found in simply just being, whether reading by the fire or taking a walk. x

You are very fortunate to have good understanding people in your life. Im very happy for you. They love you for who you are. I dont have that with my family. Im kinda just over being the understanding one. Im going to look after me and my kids now. Everyone else can go and live their own lives.

Hey guy, thank you for sharing, and no easy thing to talk about... ❤ It's great on one hand that you still have your boyfriend's and his family's unconditional love, but then on the other if it were me I would also see it as somewhat a slap in the face. At the end of the day you are still you irrespective. I would imagine that blow was/is quite a lot to process and adjust to... ❤ As one door closes so to speak, another tends to open, and a good looking guy like yourself should have no problem moving forward if and when you are ready to do so, and having the support of your new Brother and his family has also got to be a plus. Perhaps in time one can open up to them in ways not previously able to. ❤ Mental health, (which I know is close to your heart) can often come down to emotional self-security and stability. Being able to achieve and maintain this in others is quite the asset, and you are already very proficient in achieving that. The depth and layers of love you give in the content on this channel speaks volumes. I am newly subscribed, and your content apart from being very gutsy is a breath of fresh air, a support and nurturing mechanism for others as you speak openly about very real and sometimes raw matters you have and are perhaps continuing to face and process. One last thing I am sorry to hear of the loss of Pika, your cat. The pair of you had a very strong emotional bond as pets often do. You have undergone a couple of severe emotional blows these last 12 months, but you will get through this (if you haven't already), and you will become much stronger and resilient accordingly as you grow in Spiritual maturity. 🙂You Sir, are a great guy and very inspirational.
