Having foreigners from all the different nations definitely makes a program way more interesting. There's so much to learn about their points of view, experiences, hardships...in both their homelands and compared to Korea. And it makes you realise how diverse this world is. One can be stuck in the never-ending cycle of wishful media portrayals(/propaganda), but an absolute "[put country here]" culture just doesn't exist. It can be vastly different in the next village or even district.

I respectfully disagree. I have interest in lots of cultures, travelling, meeting people etc but i dont enjoy very diverse societies. Favourite countries i have travelled to so far: Korea, Japan, Morocco and Greece (Crete).
@TheSylfaein

@@wdvnge Isn't that a contradiction in itself? Shouldn't you enjoy melting pots with lots and lots of different cultures, each bringing their own views, traditions and cuisine to blend into one country? Like it's done in Singapur, for example?

As always, this was a wonderful episode. I am 73 years old and really don’t have the funds to travel. Your podcast gives me a peek into a culture for which I have affection and great curiosity. I always enjoy your guests. I like hearing the perspectives of young, educated , culturally savvy and experienced people. If dreams could come true I would become 25 or 30 again and live my life in a more adventurous way. Since that’s not possible, I will continue to tune into KPC and live vicariously through the wonderful hosts and guests. Thank you so much for the opportunity to see life in Korea, (and other countries) through your perceptive eyes.❤❤❤

It's soooo refreshing to have African people's perspective on Korea. We usually hear a lot more from Americans and Africa is usually relegated to theme such as war, poverty (and safaris?, 😅). It's good to see young African people vibes too. So chill yet ambitious. Smart yet humble. And Bella should be able to share whatever she feels comfortable with. We could see she was holding back and she must have her reasons. That's all good.

Yeah, KPC is back!! David I’m glad you put the episode out. I really enjoyed. Nothing controversial just peoples honest experience, good range of questions. Moses is adorable. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that he has been in Korea for 8yrs or if this is his natural cool self. He is humble but also has a sense of lovely sense of humour for an ‘IT geek’ lol Bella is very sweet, but you can tell she has been through a lot emotionally. Although she enjoys being different I think it has come with its own challenges. And I respect her for not exposing herself. Very diplomatic. Good luck to both of you and promoting Rwanda.

I got the feeling because they want to be part of SK media they put a very positive spin and were hesitant to mention some of the negative aspects. Or perhaps they themselves are positive and respectful people and that is why they are succeeding. I like that Anna was trying to get the t. 😂

Living as a foreigner in any different country has its own challenges, besides language barrier it depends on what kind of person you are and how much effort you put into addepting, accepting, tolerating or even understanding a different culture without losing your own identity and integrity. Hearing you guys talking about how competitve society in Korea is, looks like Korea is a good place to mature but only in certain ways. Reaching out for your goals is definately something you can use all over the planet. Interesting fact is that this Korean mentality of being fast no matter what you are doing comes from history if you check out what happened during wars or after. They had no choice but needing to grow fast to get a stable economy and stuff. What I like about K.P.C. is the authenticity the host and his guests have and most of the topics are very interesting. I'm curious about a topic I don't see a lot around KZbin or any other platforms... I heard it is kind of a "stigma" in Korea to be a single parent especially when you are a woman. Is that true? And how it effects the life in Korea?
@koreanpizzaclub

There are stigmas being a single parent for sure some ppl might judge you and youd probs struggle cuz of your job but i guess thatd be universal

I really like the way music and dance are doing a lot of the heavy lifting in bringing people closer in terms of cultural understanding/appreciation. I'm not yet convinced that Tiktok isn't a blight on society, but the collaborative projects I'm starting to see emerge from that platform are encouraging. Also, shout out to the Korean government for incentivising immigration/international marriages. Can't wait to see the generations of Afro-Asians that emerge from those policy changes. They'll all be tall, gorgeous, have flawless skin, incredible singing and dancing ability, hyper-intelligent and ambitious but also have a lot of what call we Ubuntu in South Africa, which I guess you could translate as a really high capacity for empathy. The food is going to something else, too. I think Afrikan Ramyun Club, has a nice ring to it

Very interesting perspective…a little heavy on the stereotypical profiling, but I like the positivity and having a light shine on the happy, uplifting and remarkable aspects of combining cultures. Wouldn’t it be healing and restorative to live in such a world?!
