@@SmM33380 Drinking water, he can go into the pond itself though there is risk for danger there. Eating the grass is the challenge, maybe he can suck up the loose grass by breathing them in. He still has legs and horns to loosen up the grass.

The worst I ever saw, and it still haunts me, is a lioness who had her entire lower jaw ripped off by a croc and she walked away with just part of her tongue flapping. She must have suffered for quite awhile.
