But you see African Americans running to YOUR continent attempting to make it HOME. I bet your ass is in some EUROPEAN country while typing that SHIT you just wrote! @@Isiejeme0829 All that area were the old Evwheh land. The Yorubas were also evwheh until that name being corrupted by a local missionary schooled by the British to help write the story of his ppl. Erba which the Hausas of the North called the Evwhe ppl who the Sokoto king called his neighbors to the south to an earlier European traveller in the 16th century ( report at the British Museum), and claimed they hailed from Canan into the area, is what the first English educated Yoruba man wrote down in 18th century as the name for his people. The Word Yoruba is less that 300 years old. They never referred to themselves as Yoruba before 18th century.. The European corruption was what was taught to the natives. Europeans had mispronounced our names many times and we were so much ignorant of history to have adopted the mispronounced ones for ourselves. It became easy simply because they wrote our stories and educated us with such stories and so many mis pronouncements. For example, the thrones of our kings came in a beautiful form of a seat. The British called it a stool. But a stool also sound like a human feces right? That was deliberate. But as educated as we think we are, we continue to refer to the thrones of our kings, and their symbol of authority as a human excrement? And they called theirs crowns which mounted their useless, immoral, and criminally minded so-called kings with less population, and called our kings chiefs,- with far more population than theirs? The Evwhe language is the father of all those languages from southern parts of Ghana thru Dahomey in to the Niger delta. Please Check Mawuli Mawuvi's book on it on Amazon.
