When I left Amerika to move to Africa, this is the type of life I was looking for. Simplicity. Love. Cooperation. Clay home. Instead I found most people looking for nothing but the materialism and modernity of the West. They are living my dream. Malawi is now on my bucket list. ❤

@yahseek
@yahseek Жыл бұрын
@@tracywalker244 Depends on the area. Dakar definitely is. It's like New York or LA. Village areas are still in development but many of the young people in villages prefer to live in cities, or Europe or America and to experience modernity but most can't afford to. City life or western life as seen online seems very lucrative making very attractive. So many from previous generations went overseas and have built beautiful homes, drive nice cars and own businesses. The youth see this as well as what they are exposed to on the internet (especially music videos) and they think life will be better if they could just have access to money and jobs. In some ways they're right but they don't understand what they'd be sacrificing in exchange. 99% of the young Senegalese I talk to tell me they don't like it here because there is no money and they want to go to America. Living here I get it but I also see the illusion they've sold Africa as a whole to make people who are already rich, believe they are poor. If it weren't for that brainwashing, people would be trying to stay where they are, as they are, to protect, build and invest in their futures.

I love your humility, your passion for Africa and love of African people. I love you my brother with genuine African love and some of the work you have done about Africa moves me to tears of the glory that will soon come upon black people because I long for a day when African Americans and Africans will dwell together in perfect unity and become great again as a continent. I enjoy your all your great adventures you & your beautiful wife & family so lovingly & careingly, present to us! Thank you for that love that is shed "abroad" in your heart! Before viewing this segment I had just told the Lord, Adoni Yeweh Sabath that I would love to go to Africa but I know it may never happen! Yet my heart is with my people! However you did not mention thier God! Or belief, though their heat is truly in the right place!!!, it would be so awesome to know if it were with The Father, The Son, & The indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God!!! I truly pray so! 🙏 as well sure need to know of those herbs he spoke of I have the same type of issues you spoke of, I hope & pray you & Howard remain close & give us more of this love, God's true intentions of life in earth! Before our great fall!!!, not humpty dumpy, the great dummy, just the narcissist syndrome! We became the Great"i", & disconnected with the Great I AM!!! That's not new! It has been like that all along. Here in Kenya when city life became unbearable due to finances it was prudent for one to relocate back to the village where it was stress free from all the financial undertakings, as one had a house, land to till, water from rivers, lakes, wells and all, fruit trees, always surrounded by greenry and beautiful nature, no motor vehicle noise and pollution. It was and it is still a self sustainace kind of life that we are really begining to appreciate. It's time like this that I appreciate our pre colonial forefathers even more, they were more wiser than credit them for. My belief is that the capitalism kind of life the West is pushing globally is the actual devil itself

I am Zimbabwean. These are our people. We are all brothers in Southern Africa but the most i feel closest to and who exhibit the same love , humbleness and demeanor are Malawians and Zambians. Tanzanians are the same. For those who love history, Zimbabwe (Southern Rhodesia) , Zambia ( Northern Rhodesia) and Malawi ( Nyasaland) used to be part of a Federation. Lots of Malawians migrated to work in the rich commercial farms of Zimbabwe and many stayed on to this day. These days more Zimbabweans have gone to Malawi. These are great great people. The drive from Tanzania through Lake Malawi - Northern Malawi to Zimbabwe is scenic. Drove through there once, portions of the road was a bit challenging even with a 4 wheel drive but hopefully its better now. Love Malawi , love Africa.

If our brothers and sisters in Haiti could build DOME house structures, they would survive some of nature's calamities. The structures are resilient and resistant to hurricanes and being low-lying, possibly safer in earthquakes. Look up videos on "build up Nepal" to see sustainable compressed earth brick structures in earthquake prone zones. Domes can also be built using the same materials. Science mitigating nature's effects. Love my Haitian family.🇿🇼

I know it’s not perfect, & I don’t want to overly romanticize it, but I’d love to find a way back to that life. …..who knows maybe pair-up the parts of modernity that works w/ that lifestyle. People back home think the US is heaven, but they don’t realize the US is tèt chagé😄…everywhere u go it’s bills, bills, bills ak traka. Nothing u own in America is really yours. I pray that people with bad mind stay away from them. Africans are the most friendliest people in the world, and it makes me see how the Europeans took advantage. I'm half Ghanian and Nigerian. In Africa they don't think impure towards foreigners, they always make them feel welcome, but when they leave Africa they realize they are not treated the same. It makes Africans that travel see outsiders differently. People in Africa that has never left Africa, really have no idea how evil people treat people that look like them, so when they see outsiders they believe they are all kind.

This was some really good content. Keep it coming. Look how long our brothers and sisters live and how young and vibrant they are looking without having to deal with the stress of the Western world. I am Afro-Caribbean and even though we are mostly Westernized now, I can still relate to that way of life here in the Islands, hearing from stories passed down by my grandparents the way they used to live back in the days, growing their own food, rearing their stocks, and fishing, even building what they called grass houses...

Im a Malawian too .Yes true, its how Malawian live, 90(%of Malawians don't live in cities, its simple and more freedom here. But take note: when people harvest alot of product they sale to the normal market or Government market ,they just buy what they need at that harvest time or season , but the rest of the money they just keep at home until the next year, so its like fewer people use the bank to keep the money, but the rest they just keep in their homes, Since food and shelter is there, then they just by soaps to wash there clothes,salt for the whole year then done .alot of money in Malawi is not counted for the economy of the country, infact people has alot of money in their homes than banks , that's how we leave. So, any expert it will be difficult to know the real GDP of this country because we run with two systems at the same time, western and african combine. And take Note: No homeless excit in this country.

Yes, Africa doesn't really need the West to survive. Africa has the village lifestyle that we are used to over thousands of years. Africa can live life without money. Is the West that always introduce money or dollars to Africa leaders for goods and services, Africa leaders fall for the tricks and sooner or later they become indebted to the West. You can still see it in the life's of the citizens today, that the Africa leaders doesn't provide anything for it's citizens. so, the money they get or borrowed from the west goes into their own private pockets, no infrastructures or basic amenities to show for it. It is the citizens that fends for themselves. The Africa government are on their own world with the West, while the citizens are surviving by village lifestyle. That's it.
