Hi, how are you? In my city in colombia , there is a girl whose father is ghanaian from Akwapem etnic group, her name is ayeley and she said It means god with us, so I don't believe because I see in akan god is Onyankopon, so can you tell me what does mean Ayeley?

Hello Ariel. I’m doing good yourself? So if her dad is from Akuapem then it’s most likely her mum is a Ga hence the name Ayeley. The name Ayeley simply means the first daughter and not “God with us” Also know that there are more than 70 different languages spoken in Ghana aside Akan. Onyankopon is only one of the languages. By the way I am also Ayeley so extend my greetings to her 😊

Ato is a Fante name so he’s still correct. They usually call it kwamena (Kwame) Ato.
