Ghanaians are very humble people, we are so Humble some non Ghanaians mistaken that for timidity. No we are not timid, we were just raised to be respectful and very humble, with that said if you're a tourist please understand in ghana we respect each other so much and we precede each sentence with PLEASE, ME PA WO KY3W (please what is your name, please where are you from, please Where do you stay etc) and THANK YOU is also very important, Me Da Se. If you not Ghanaian and visiting first time i totally understand but i do want you to always remember that is just our culture.

Sadly as an American, I once held this humility with high regards.. until I ran into many Ghanaian men scamming American women for papers and I was very disillusioned with the group of people. Becareful there are alot of pretenders out there and that's part of the culture too. I am personally offended that the Ghanaian men have also learned how to play on women's emotions for selfish reasons.... I'm just here for the Twi lessons

My husband of nearly four years is Ghanaian, but his mother tongue is Ewe. I will never be able to learn Ewe in a thousand years. Thankfully, he also speaks Twi, among a few others. I had begun learning Twi thru the Pimsleur method, which was great, but they didn't recommend seeing it written so that we wouldn't keep our American accents while learning. They believe that babies learn by listening, but there are some sounds that are similar, and it's good to see someone's mouth AND the words so that you can say the correct sounds. I was saying Please as "May pao chow". Seeing it written helped me see where I went wrong. And what a great, calm teaching style you have! Liked and subscribed! ❤️

Please do bear in mind that if you create offspring with your boyfriend, you are destroying the white race. And your child will feel alone in this world. Completely alone.

This is really helpful. I want to learn Twi because my dads side of the family is Ghanaian but he doesn't want to teach me so I am learning on my own. Also I really want to go to Ghana one day as I live in Canada and really want to see what home is like.

I undertook a serious plan to study and learn a few words at a time. I got a notebook dedicated to learning Twi. I think I can do this. By the way--- you are a very good teacher. Thanks very much! Diamond Yvonne

Your sessions are amazing. My boyfriend is from Ghana, and he thinks that it's a great idea for me to learn Twi. Ghana is a beautiful place and I would like to impress him, by being able to communicate with him in Twi instead of just in the English language.

I agree with him. It's nice that you're trying to learn. Keep it up Danyelle 😊
