Awesome reaction princess Faye! 🥰🙏 David Bowie has a lot of great songs, but for me i think Wild is the Wind might be the best. 👍 But also, if you like a bit more "avantgarde", then i suggest Outside and The Hearts Filthy Lesson.

From the Lodger album 1979 . One of my favorites. One of the three albums written while Bowie lived in Berlin. Low and Heroes both from 1977 being the other two

The album that this was off of “Lodger” is a good overall album. I would have preferred if you and other reactors would stick to the studio versions.

I must agree. The studio version has that complex melodic and harmonic structure which gets drowned out in this live version.

Yes, although Bowie does a good enough job with what he had, by this time his loss of vocal range due to chain smoking was very evident and he was using the usual adaptations/tricks. Fortunately, after mostly quitting, he regained a lot of that back by the end of the decade.

I like this live version better: more energy & more rocking, more wild guitar & piano. As for the vocals it's not one of his most challenging vocal parts in a song, so even though he was having trouble with his voice in the mid 90s I think he was still up to the task for this one, at the same time this was his best band lineup he's ever had, if I could pick one time to go back and see him it would be 95-98, 2nd place would be his 78 tour (just before this song came out) I will say that the percussion in this live version doesn't beat the percussion sound in the original recording, but overall I still prefer this version... & the original music video is a bit boring compared to this live performance. Except for the wonderfully complex & well mixed drum part I find the original mix to be a bit sparse compared to all that is going on with the piano and guitar in this live version.

This is from a fantastic show; shame about the audience; they're appalling.
@chrissimpson60178 ай бұрын
What’s the problem with the audience? They cheer loudly at the end of songs. In other songs they aren’t singing along with every word, but they aren’t native English speakers… it’s in Germany.
