NASA, this video for "I'M ONLY SLEEPING," WON a GRAMMY award for Best Music Video at the 2024 Grammy Awards. THAT is a pretty BIG deal! The woman you see at the very end is EM COOPER, the one who did ALL the paintings that were in the video. She also directed it, and hand painted 1,300 individual paintings using oil paint on celluloid (film) She then used an animation technique called "stop motion," which means she took a photo of each of the 1,300 frames of painted celluloid, so that when they they were run through a projector, it would look as you saw it here. It took a lot of time and work. What you see EM COOPER doing at the end of the video, is rubbing off one of the oil painted frames, in order to paint another one (1300 times!!) Oh, and the song itself was from 1966. Em Cooper created the video in 2022.

One of my absolute favorite songs from the Revolver album. John was simply an incredible genius. I'm glad you liked it. Wow, so much more greatness from the Fab Four for you to discover. What a treat it will be.

A ground changing Beatles song - but then again every song they did was.

The Beatles burst onto the music scene in early 1964 when I was 13. I was instantly and eternally captured by their charm and their sound! I'm always proud and happy to see younger generations discover them also! Thanks so much! Love from Las Vegas! ❤👍

This is from '66. Another song sort of on the same subject was made 14 years later on John's last album before he was shot dead. The song is Watching the Wheels. "People think I'm lazy, dreaming my life away. They give me all kinds of advice, designed to enlighten me... I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round. I really love to watch them roll. No longer riding on the merry-go-round. I just had to let it go." Great song!
