George could play Bill Justis' "Raunchy" on guitar. This impressed a guy named Lennon enough to let him into his group. The rest is history.

George Harrison also put together the benefit concert for Bangla Desh in Madison Square Garden in the summer of 1971, which also featured many big names, including his good buds Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.

It took until the group's final days before George finally got an A-side of a single. But that song was "Something". Frank Sinatra later praised it as one of the best ballads he ever heard.

George Harrison got off to the most auspicious start of any of the former Beatles with "All Things Must Pass", an unprecedented triple album, which was a huge critical and commercial success. Many big names contributed. He got sued however, over "My Sweet Lord", which bore an uncanny resemblance to "He's So Fine" (which George claimed he had never heard before). He saw the humor in it, though, and later poked fun at the whole thing in "This Song".

George (1943-2001) was the youngest Beatle. In fact, he was underage to be performing in German clubs when the band began, and had to leave the country.

George Harrison was the quiet Beatle. He was a good guitarist and singer. After the Beatles he made songs solo then was a member of the Traveling Wilberrys with 3 other famous musicians.

Hmm ... As another commentor noted, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison (The Quiet Beatle). #10 in 1971, B-side to My Sweet Lord, co-produced with infamous Phil "Wall Of Sound" Spector. One reactor knowing who George Harrison was, stopped his reaction shortly into the song and said, "This is a Beatles Song!" :)

And, George got the last official Beatles song while all four were still around, with "I Me Mine" (minus John Lennon, who later said he would have participated if he had known about the session).

I preferred George's post Beatles music to Paul's, which seemed to be songs cobbled together with disparate parts such as Band On The Run (which had clunky rhymes and junk lyrics)
