Reminds me of a story my 80 y/o neighbours told me once. I live in rural Germany and at the end of WWII, when my neighbour was a toddler, some American soldiers built a swing for the kids in the village. Then all of a sudden, a black American soldier appeared and everyone was scared of him, since they'd never seen a black guy before.
