African Safari in Zambia, Ep. 1: Mfuwe to Bilimungwe

Fabulous and striking reserve and environment..have stayed close to Bimilungwe at Chindeni South Luangwa has worked hard with conservation and anti poaching especially for elephant since I first visited in 1989. Great encounters with walking there and on night drives... Hope to return for 4th time.....and see wild dog again, and hear the Scops owl call at night....and listen to the hippos and Carmine bee eaters at sundowner and kick over some elephant dung on a walk. Thank you so much Simon! It was really fascinating talking with the guides about all the conservation and anti-poaching efforts both in South Luangwa and in Zambia as a whole. We are definitely hoping to go back at some point. The South Luangwa safari barely scratches the surface of what Africa has to offer!

This was in mid-October, which is at the very end of Zambia’s dry season.
