AU is protecting its own friends and it does not care about the people. It does not complain about the unilateral amendments of the constitutions by its members in their countries, its does not care about the persecution of the oppositions by their friends. If you do not want coup why not put a stop to the causes of coup? Secondly why did the AU accept the Egypt and the Zimbabwe coup if its really against coup and not protecting its friends?

@D Kim. I am from DRC...AU should not encourage coups even those that are justified. They just want order. My president is the 2021 AU President. Alpha Conde changed the constitution last year ( 2020) when Cyrille Ramaphosa was the AU President

ECOWAS and the community of nations should ensure that countries respect the constitution if they want leaders to be respected, I bet Cameroon's Paul Biya , Equatorial Guinea's Teodoro Nguema, Republic of Congo's Sassou Nguesso, Uganda's Yower Museveni, Eritrea's Isaias Afwerki, Djiboutis' Ismail Guelleh, Rwanda's Paul Kagame, and Togo's Faure Gnassingbe are the next casualties.
