Honestly, I have way more respect for Canadians from my personal experience. While I was doing Uber last year, I tried to travel to Canada from the New York border at Trout River in the Adirondacks. I wanted to visit the place because I have never been there before. I did not know about the Arrive Canada app and Canada Border Patrol told me I have to complete it before I get approved to enter. They were very professional and polite. I told them I would fill out the form the next day when I have some spare time. So they let me swing back around to the New York border. Once I got back, US border protection was so disrespectful and condescending to me as if I was smuggling something or trying to enter the country illegally. They clearly saw I had a U.S. made car with New York plates. I said never again. If I decide to travel to Canada, I am taking Greyhound or Megabus. I'm sorry this man had to experience that in Canada. But the fact of the matter is Canadians carry themselves way better than Americans from my personal experience.

In all cases, a cop should be required to state clearly and immediately WHY a person was pulled over. They should not be given more than a minute to explain, and not be allowed to make up additional excuses. The stop requires a reason, and if no reason then all subsequent findings are null unless it's a major issue.
