It's Canada and like the UK, it is very difficult and expensive to sue and if you do and win, the compensation is only for damages. It will just be a few thousands to compensate for the missed holiday, the cost of getting to the airport, and a little bit for hurt feelings. There was one case like this in the UK and the victims won the case but the judge took personal offence that the plaintiffs claimed that they were victimised due to racism. The award was a couple of thousand and the white English judge advised the black family not to assume everything is about racism. The family ignored the whitesplaination and cussed the judge on TV.

Canada sucks, I made a mistake as a new truck driver of making a wrong turn and end it up on the other side of the border. They hailed me for 3 hours. I would never go back to canada.

Its basically a protocol response airports must have for certain situations, if a bag on ground, while all passengers have boarded, doors on the process for being locked and aircraft is being prepared for push- back which is driving the aircraft back to track for take off. Anything that interrupts that process, their systems Regards it as red alert, and when that happens everybody come out. That doesn't have to be specifically regarded as racism even though there is always a little spice of that in the mix if the person involved happens to be black. The treatment will be harsher but that may happen everywhere where black happens to be.

Where is the race component? I travel International on many occasions, and if this was me I would have waited to land and make my protest to the airline because once they accept your bags they are responsible for them and there are financial insurance limits that you can claim for your items that were lost or delayed. For me I would laugh because along with the insurance from the airline impossible trip insurance my credit card also carries an insurance anyway so that would have took care of it as well. I still am confused where did the racial profiling element come into play?

I have worked for a few airlines. There was no racial discrimination here. Every plane has limited amount of room to store luggage. If it is full its just full. Your luggage will be flown out on the next available flight and you will be contacted when your luggage arrives and your luggage will be delivered to you and no charge. Secondly there's no racial profiling because the packers who load the bags unto the flight don't know what passengers look like all they have is a luggage list. smh

I don't agree with your comments. Over ten years ago, I was racially profiled, stripped, searched and asked to give a bowel sample at Lester B. Pearson Airport By CBSA. When I researched statistics, strip searches, and racial profiling, black people/ black women experienced this more than any other group 70 or 80% of the time.
