6:02 Allow for the free movement of people. How can you want Europe to accept Africans if Africans won't even accept each other. This is a VERY important point that he makes.

Can someone please tell me why African countries allow foreign nations so much access? I've heard there are at least 60+ American military bases on the continent of Africa. I've never heard of one foreign military base in America. Now, African countries are working with China. How are Africans planning to protect themselves? I don't know about China, but there's no way the American government isn't positioning itself to take control over parts of Africa. Is anything being done to safeguard against this?

I just listened to an enlightening talk by Andrew Mwenda who suggested that if there was a platform to inflict a genocide against homosexuals in Africa it would gain majority support! However, he said that things are changing. Well, I fucken hope so! It's scary enough that America has elected Donald Trump!

Leslie Sinclair the true answer to your question is....Corruption & Greed!!!! as simple as that but the speaker is right...I said the same thing to the world Bank president. Africa does not need externals Africa is rich enough to sort itself out and Africa needs to trade oil for resources not cash!!!!

@@ACB2K Since China has not invaded our countries militarily, it is up to our leaders to negotiate with them in our best interest. And of course they are there to act in their best interest. Let us mot be naive about this.

We are not Europeans, nor Americans, nor Chinese, nor Russians. We are African, a group of countries with long and varied cultures, histories, traditions, and religions that we have either chosen or have been forced to relinquish by Christian and Muslim conquerors. It appears that we hate ourselves because we have let foreign powers marginalize who we are and what it means to be African, and we have accepted that the west is best. We must show the world that we are truly proud of our culture, our history and our people by teaching in truly formal settings the languages and history of our ancestors and controlling the narrative of what it means to be African. We must stop seeing ourselves through the eyes of the conquerors, and the imperialists and once and for all accept our heritage. We have survived for thousands upon thousands of years before coming across the European. It is well overdue to once and for all rid ourselves of the crushing IMF and World Bank destabilization.

You're saying that we need to have a paradigm shift in how we see ourselves which will then determine our actions. Until that day, we'll continue to be lambs for slaughter. Understanding this, I reject any term that denotes less than for myself, my people and communities. We have to start redefining ourselves for ourselves.

I wish there was a simplistic answer to that! But I think it’s because we are not united as a people. Look at Jews, Chinese, and Indian communities around they all work together n lift there people.. again if you don’t believe in urself, well than you others will take advantage

@@briancasa1054 Jews are a small amount of people in a diaspora. Their homeland Israel has a strong military backed by the USA superpower. China is a military superpower and oppresses some of its minority tribes. India is a country with some economic issues. Africa is a continent of multiple tribes and false borders.

About integrating Africa, the reason its not happened is cause each country wants its own identity as well. Its a good to integrate markets, open movement across each nation, and combine airway systems but for ex. making the currency the same might have the same resistance it first had in Europe.I mean a lot of people already get pissed off when Africa is referred to as one whole country...my pt: I don't think integration will be wanted unless the uniqueness of each nation is somehow maintained
@peacheskong2245
@peacheskong2245 6 жыл бұрын
How can Africa go straight to one currency when she has not yet experienced having different currencies printed in Africa? Africa is still running behind emulating the West instead of laying off and concentrating on developing in her own time. Europe was as fragmented as Africa was and still is today btw but that's an other story, Europe knows the history and culture of having different tribes but the Europeans conquered among themselves. They united based on their own elitist terms. Africans on the other hand are to take notes and study Europe for her success AND FAILURES. Instead of copy/pasting a whole economic system that has shown to be hazardous to ones health... IMHO

I was trying to agree with what one woman said here about foreigners who are allowed access into African countries, taking charge of virtually everything. I rather agree with a sudden thought. ''No one African is ready to GIVE''. I have never seen a receiver who is blessed. Blessing and positive transformation are promised to those who GIVE. If All African Nations can give to even developed nations, the blessing of prosperity will befall the continent.
