Would be most interested in calibers of weapons. Recognized Ruger rifle and leupold-Swarovski scopes. Not clear make of other rifles and possibly other scopes used.

I'm not a big gun guy myself, I can tell you more about the cameras I used to produce this movie. I will, however, on the next hunts I film get the hunters to talk more about their equipment. For the time being I'm uploading previously filmed movies, and will probably only start filming new ones in 2021.

HI. Nice shooting and nice animal taken. I would like to ask , what caliber -gun do you use and bullets?

Hi and thanks for the question. Sorry, I don't have the info. I'm only the cameraman. On my newer hunts I try to get all the info and use it in the movies but some of the older ones I don't have it.

If you wear leather shoes, take prescription medicines, have had surgery, eat animals for nutrition, get vaccinated, use insecticides, concerned about preserving endangered species and are anti hunting: you are a hypocrite. Hunting gives these animals financial value. Without financial value, there is no incentive to conserve any species. Hunters are the true conservationists. Hunters are also not hypocrites.
@AfricanSunProductions3 жыл бұрын
100% correct. Sustainable utilization is the best conservation tool in Africa. Nothing else comes close.

Excellent footage. Can you please provide more details on the tripod that was used? Make? Availability/supplier?
@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
Hi Johan. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I don't use a tripod, it only gets in the way during the hunt. I have a home-made shoulder rig which I attach the camera to. It's basically a flat piece of aluminium that rest on my shoulder. Thanks for watching!

@@AfricanSunProductions I'm actually referring to the 3 legged"shooting sticks" which the hunters used to aim/rest/steady support their guns on to shoot the game

Might add I fought in Nam and am 76 years young so the guy who stated he fought in Nam did not look old enough. Granted I was 22 when I was in Nam.
@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
Good day sir! I'm sure the hunter just pretended he was in Nam, referencing the thick bush they were crawling in during the day's hunt. I'm sure the real Nam wasn't something to joke about. I'm happy that you made it back. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.

It was a joke Jeff due to the river and thick brush we were walking through chasing Buffalo. Not meant to be disrespectful and thank you for your service.

What will happen if you accidentally come across lion pride on your way while walking... What is your course of action
@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
Usually lions will warn you before you even see them. They will make a big noise and you'll have enough time to find another route. If they have cubs, you might be in trouble, but this is one of the reasons you have trained professionals with you at all times. Thanks for watching!

Are they all used for their meat?
@AfricanSunProductions2 жыл бұрын

@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Jaco had many scratches on his hands from hunting in thick thorny bush. He then field dressed an animal and got a slight infection. The bandages was to keep his hands clean until they are fully healed.

All that in five days. IMO, should have been over ten days. You traveled so far to get to South Africa, you need to enjoy it more. Five days seems so hectic. I know you have a "wish list" of game, but you have to acknowledge the HUNT. It shouldn't be goal orientated.
@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
More days are definitely better, but it happens more and more that hunters cannot take enough time off work, especially if it's more than one person. These guys had a blast, and didn't push too hard to complete the list. They will be back in 2021, and hopefully we'll have more luck with that Buffalo! I believe you mentioned that you'll be coming next year with you son? I hope you guys have lots of days and can enjoy the beauty of Africa. Thanks for watching another ASP video!
@martinstiastny76794 жыл бұрын
With that thought posted, I'm sure that the hunters will return. * Going to South Africa is a vacation. It's a hunt, but you need to enjoy the hospitality, the food, the wine. You should go sight seeing. My first trip to SA, my father and I added in four days of sight seeing. There's so much to see. * If you're a movie buff/history buff, visit Rourke's Drift. If you're hunting out of Port Elizabeth area, go to Cape Town.
@AfricanSunProductions4 жыл бұрын
Adding a few sight seeing days is always a good idea. South Africa is a very diverse country, you can see so much in just a few days, but take your time and spend all those days in one area, and you'll be rewarded. You can always do another area next time.

@@AfricanSunProductions I'm throughly enjoying your videos. It's really bothering me that I can't hunt in South Africa this year. There's always next year. I hope that the people make it through this year. This lockdown is hurting so many people.

@@martinstiastny7679 I hope I can keep you entertained until you can make your way over here. Yes, many people are hurting. Our hunting industry is shut down completely, even local hunting is difficult. Most of us will make it through, and then we'll rely on faithful hunters like yourself to help us build again. Are you able to work on your side?
