The Swiss people have mastered efficiency. The public transport system is above excellent. Even the little villages are connected to public transport. We stayed in a hotel in the Alps in Engadine and it was the only building in that vast location with beautiful views, there was a bus stop and a train stop. Although you will have to press a button when you get to the train station so that the arriving train driver will know before hand that there is someone waiting to board at that particular stop, else they will pass if no passenger already onboard is coming off there. Even that station had a bathroom, a vending machine for snacks, a ticket machine and in the cold season it is heated. Who does that? Only in Switzerland. The country is beautiful, clean, efficiently run but you do pay for all that. Switzerland is very expensive. I wouldn’t mind living there.

Switzerland is the most beautiful country in the world. This woman is very lucky or fortunate. I’ve travelled round Switzerland over the last 20 years and can confirm it’s one of the best places to live on planet earth. It’s stunningly beautiful , you’ll think you’re in heaven as the scenery is the closest thing to paradise. It is also the wealthiest country in the world and has the highest standard of living. The only minuses are it can be boring and predictable but also very expensive. The salaries are very high but so is rhe cost of living. Swiss citizenship is not easy to come by and you have to work your way through it. Finally you’ll never be fully accepted into Swiss society unless you were born there and that means having the ability to speak Swiss German like a native Swiss or the French, Italian or Romansch languages. But you can get along speaking English. As a British Nigerian I’ve never had any problems visiting and moving around Switzerland and I’ve been many times without any issues of racism. They like the Brits in Switzerland so perhaps that’s why, I was never questioned at immigration or followed. But then same in the united states I never get hassled by immigration the only people that have harassed me are Nigerian customs on entry and exiting that country one encounters a dystopian nightmare.

Is still autumn 🍂 in America and Canada. We used the word fall but the right word is autumn. It’s four season spring summer, autumn winter.

Nice presentation. Thanks for sharing your experiences… As information, in America, we use the terms Fall and Autumn interchangeably. Also, while not used very often any more, you may hear a few Americans use the term “specs” interchangeably with eyeglasses. If sunglasses, you may hear “shades”.

It is one view but having lived in Europe for some time, if I could go back 26 years, with what I know, I wouldn't choose Europe again because with the benefit of hindsight, and knowledge of the possibilities, I could really make Kenya much more beneficial. That would never have happened the first time though.

Yes, convenience cost, coming to the West with a few dollars and no family will make you unhappy, you are paying for lights, 24/7 water that runs through pipes, street lights, highways that run for miles, grocery stores well stock, etc. You can't have all those conveniences and not cost money, so which do you choose?

Feel sad for our country. Though it's a beautiful isl most of the political people have let our land down. It is a nightmare to go in a less crowded train like that in our country call Sri Lanka. 😢
