@@explorer12124 And essentially, he's saying that a Turkish alliance can protect Ethiopia from Egypt in alliance with the US. Turkey is no counterbalance to US power. Yes, it's a good move for Ethiopia, but not as earth-shattering as presented. Also, the question remains why Ethiopia did not opt for solar power to generate its electricity instead of a huge and destabilising dam. That sounds like projecting threats was more important than generating electricity. Again, he says Ethiopia needs to satisfy domestic supply, but they're actually exporting it to Sudan. I find it interesting, but less than impressive and definitely not as momentous as presented.

Hi, greetings from Turkey. Ofcourse there is something in it for TR too.The difference is, TR is a partner which provides positive gains for the other partner(s). Colonialists have this understanding of somebody must lose in order the other part wins. But there is a concept of win - win which is possible, even solidified with a lot of examples. A good business and collaboration means everybody wins. I've been to Kenya and Ethiopia. Great countries, great people. Yet, their great potential is being wasted. Why these nations wouldnt enjoy the developement the rest of the world achieved with all their potential? We are in the era of technology and comunication. More people gain access to internet everyday and they see and understand the world. They see they have options, better options. As a Turk, I think it doesn't matter for me much if it is TR or another country do things told in this video. What I care more is to see more people get better conditions, better living. I hope one day I go back to Kenya and Ethiopa one day and enjoy more delicious goat meat and spectacular cofee 🙃

Sup with a devil and he will take your soul. Great Britain, as a matter of principal was the first country in history to ban slavery (1807) . Islam still permits slavery in any form. The British, very much to their credit banned slavery throughout their empire and spent a large fortune for the principal, not for profit, policing their law including with the Royal navy on the high seas hunting slave ships. The descendants of slaves, black, brown, white, owe the British a HUGE thank you.

I was wondering why Turkiye has been building 30 something war ships simultaneously including an aircraft carrier and keep producing hundreds of armed drones even though she already has more than all Europe combined. I think it is to protect these projects in Africa similar to its army protects Qatar when it was imminent Qatar was to be destroyed by its neighbors a few years ago. Turkiye already has its biggest overseas military base in Somalia so military protection of the region must be a key in those deals which you did not mention. May be another video about that would be informative.

Ethiopia made a serious strategic error by supporting Somaliland. They were rather supposed to propose a peace deal in Somalia and get access to the sea in return. The news shocked me and I knew it wouldn't work in Ethiopia's interests.

Abiy got a Noble prize to make peace, but he started a war. First, with Tigrayans right now with the Amhara. He went to Somalia to change focus, nothing else. He is stupid and the war he will lose it..people starving no $, big security issues all over the Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is not just someplace to us, Turks and Muslims. Your kingdom saved our prophet's people in the hard times. And also, Ethiopia and Somalia was once the same kingdom. Only reason you hate each other now is the colonialists. We shouldn't forget how the colonialists act. They make us hate each other. Our only enemy should be imperialism and colonialism. Africa belongs to the Africans. Let's hope Turkey, Ethiopa and Somali stays in a good relationship. 🇹🇷🇪🇹🇸🇴

Great analysis! It's important to note that Trump withheld military aid to Egypt in 2017. Overall, Trump had a more favorable policy toward Africa compared to Biden or Obama. Additionally, 1.6 million people lost their lives in Ethiopia's civil war. Turkey also has ambitions reminiscent of the Ottoman Empire, which carry significant religious implications. I support alliances in Africa that are led by Africans.

Africa has the potential to get the richest continent on the earth. The only key is just to come together and create and work on projects! Cancel, remove, stop anything which would split you in any case and get the power of your country. Recep Tayyip Erdogan is opening doors for African countries. Join it and get strong instead to be corrupt and weak.

Thank you for this story, Turkey has always show a neutral approach to Africa development just as India has, the USA and Egypt however has not, Europe, Egypt and America just wants to see the former colonized nations kept in poverty. Egypt care nothing about Africa they see themselves as arabs not Africans, just at Ibrahim Trearoea said in this case Egypt the salon slave is bowing to its masters USA, there is no military that side of the globe as powerful as Turkey, so teflon Don Trump will have to shelve his explosion ambitions, however Turkey, Ethiopia and Somalia will have to find a way to maintain relations with SomaliLand

Türkiye does NOT want the friendly and brotherly peoples in Africa to continue to be exploited by the new colonialist games of Western imperialists and colonialists. This is exactly why Türkiye wants friendly and brotherly African countries to solve their problems through friendly agreements. Türkiye always stands by Africa in the fight against imperialism and colonialism together with African countries with an understanding of peace and brotherhood.

Not only western countries are to be aware of. China, Russia and other states want to take over control instead. Don’t think Chinese loans are for “free”. They also want control over resources and African countries.
