I seldom comment here but today I felt like leaving a nice little message because why not. I watch all your videos and you are one of my comfort channels. I dream of going to Scotland and so I really love how you show us around and all the pretty aesthetic clips of nature and of the city. Thank you for making videos Ashleigh, take care and have a nice day/evening/night whenever you read this ✨💚

I have found two new favourite books this month, and I am currently rereading Follow Me To Ground which I am adoring. The Embalmer by Anne-Renee Caille is a contemporary that follows a daughter taking notes from her father's recollection of his career as an embalmer. He talks about strange cases he had, the types that keep him up at night, and what it was like dealing with the dead so often in one's life. The other is Night Theatre by Vikram Paralkar. This one follows a surgeon in an underfunded clinic, and one night a family of dead people walks into his clinic with fatal wounds. And he has to stitch them up by morning or they will all drop dead. I loved both of these so much, and I see no one talking about them.

It's a shame the bone witch didn't pan out for you Ashleigh. I have it on my tbr but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm currently reading Hotel Magnifique by Emily Taylor and thoroughly enjoying it so far. This was a really nice, chilled V-log. 🌊

The earrings are so pretty, especially the little hoop with the sweet orange drop. The scenery is breathtaking and it’s so cool you were recognized by one of your patreons. The roses are beautiful 🥰 and the fairy loot book is gorgeous…as is the Joe Abercrombie book.🌊

Very happy I also managed to get the same edition of The Atlas Six. I’ve heard some polarising things about it but excited to see what I’ll think of it. Loving your yellow roses and the beach scenes and I’ve recently purchased Fortuna Sworn 😊🌊

🌊. Those red stud earrings are just stunning! I am currently on a mystery/thriller kick. My book of choice right now is Say Her Name by Dreda Say Mitchell and Ryan Carter. Borrowed it from my local library. It just came out this year.

🌊. I brought the bone witch sometime last year. I started it but just couldn't get into it whatsoever. It just didn't capture me after the first few pages which was sad considering that I brought the other two too. Just finished reading City of ghosts which was good. It was set in Edinburgh which I loved. A light read but a good one all the same 😊

I get that about the Bone Witch. I do think it is a little overhyped. I actually describe this book as one big look into the training of an Asha (which I usually describe as a higher society witch), and not much else because that is pretty much all that is going on. I did continue the series, but if I am being fully honest I don't know if I want to finish the trilogy, and I don't know if I will reread it. Which is a shame because I love necromancy in my books and I don't see it often. That being said, more things happen in the second book, and I genuinely mean a lot more happens in the second book and you progress in the story far more than you did in the first.
