I love matcha! I make myself matcha smoothies on the weekends with pineapple, frozen watermelon cubes, lime juice, milk, and matcha. My dad was a geologist, so I think that I am genetically inclined to pick up rocks. I always seem to come home with them, and I have containers of them on my bookshelves.

I’ve not yet overcome the anxiety towards getting trains and I’m not sure I’ll ever feel ready but you talking about the fact that you have anxiety but are managing to do these things is such an amazing thing to see ❤️ thank you for giving me some hope that I can overcome these things someday x

Very nearly decided to study there but it was too pricey in the current climate 😅 i feel you on the travel anxiety when alone, I've never flown by myself before but that's definitely something I want to do at some point so seeing you manage it is really reassuring honestly, plus doing a local flight sounds like a great way to ease into it too!

Ahh I love that you flew to Brighton and back! Congratulations on doing that by yourself. It becomes easier the more you do it! Yes to The Travelling Cat Chronicles. The audiobook for it is lovely too. Would highly recommend. I've done a fair few solo flying journeys and 1 completely solo trip to Florence and I think the thing that helped with being nervous about security is being aware that getting stopped by security is so normal. My mum has a pin in her knee from where she broke her leg so she sets off the metal detectors every time we go through security 😂 Me and my sister also always make a tally of the silly things we've been stopped for, chewing gum, metal water bottles, I took a metal compass through one time 😅
@AFrolicThroughFiction Жыл бұрын
Honestly I’m hoping this mindset just settles in over time! I had a bad experience once so that always has me on alert, but on the way home this time I was stopped for a “suspicious knee” and just found it amusing for how random that was 😂
@msellenandrea Жыл бұрын
I always stress about security too, all those devices I need to pull out, the stress of being too slow because the line is long, the times I have accidentally brought something in hand luggage that I shouldn't.. 😂 So embarrassing when they pull you over to go through your stuff lol

I Ioved this video! Also I am a big fan of Bird and Blend (I've had their Halloween and Christmas countdown calendars) and wanted to let you know they actually have a tea called 'Chocolate Digestives' which is really nice. I'd also recommend 'Butter Brew' if you have a sweet tooth! Their matcha comes in so many flavours but I really like the 'Black Magic' because the tea actually comes out black/ grey and I feel very witchy drinking it haha. 🌊 I'm very excited for Olivie Blake's upcoming books and I wondered if you've read 'Alone With You in the Ether' and what you thought?
