🔮that market looked like such a vibe wow!! Always down for a witchy themed video. Personally i'd recommend Nausicaa of the valley of the wind as it's my fave ghibli movie! It's not a super mainstream one but I personally love it as its one of the more high fantasy ones and i just think the message of the movie is absolutely beautiful, as it's very much themed around caring for nature and nature fighting back. (princess mononoke has similar themes too) But honestly all the ghibli movies are great so watching any of them will be a good time!

Hi Ashleigh 🙂 Yes, there will be a 4th (and the final, I believe) omnibus of the Girl From The Other Side, which comes out either August or November from memory. I'm collecting them, too, but haven't started reading yet. For Studio Ghibli (the 'h' is pronounced in Japanese) My Neighbour Totoro and Princess Mononoke are excellent. Kiki's Delivery Service is my favourite & made me cry. I love Studio Ghibli movies as they are warm and sweet, but have very deep underlying themes that really make you think - love that! Also, there are very interesting documentaries on the studio itself and their extremely vigilant process of all the hand-drawing and strictness of their works. Miyazaki is a genius, but a tough task-master! I love Junji Ito, too, and for your Ito-Trolley all you need to do to solve the imbalance is buy more of his works and have 2 shelves heehee 😛 (he's a Mangaka; a person who writes and illustrates Manga.)

Princess Mononoke is my favourite Studio Gibli film. It is a complicated film so it is not easy to describe. You are following this boy who is cursed and seeks to lift said curse so he goes to the location from which the creature who cursed him came from. When he gets there he gets wrapped up in this conflict between the spirits and the gods of the forest and a town who is seeking to protect their own and to build a future for themselves. You would love the tree spirits in this film.

Totoro, Ponyo, or The Cat Returns next! 😁Totoro was my first one. My granny found the VHS at a yard sale once when I was little and I was hooked. My daughter's first was Ponyo and she loves it...we sing the song every time we see a fish. There's also something about The Cat Returns that is just so...idk...could be because Cary Elwes voices Baron. ❤

I'd recommend Kiki's delivery service it's so wholesome and an amazing movie about a young witch. I watched it as a kid and it was the first ever studio ghibli movie I ever watched and it is truly a magical movie.
