Neither God nor any of the apostles ever asked polygamous husbands to divorce their wives and keep only one! “One man, one wife”, is neither scriptural, biblical, nor part of the heavenly message. The culture that brought Christianity to Africa sneaked that in there, in the pretense that marrying one wife = holiness. It is not, by any measure! They could have been afraid that through polygamy, Africans could outbreed and conquer them speedily.
