Love your videos, thank you! I started Wing Foiling this year(82kg) on a 2022 Naish LA 2000cm2 Front Wing and Progressed to a 1650cm2. I get on foil easily in both directions and am able to carve little curves. But once i try to Jibe i can´t make the turn. It feels like i stop in the middle and lose all the speed. Could a new generation foild like the AFS Flyer or maybe even go directly to the AFS Enduro 1100 or something like that help my learn process and give me even more fun with this fantastic sport? Unfortunately i only get Wind speeds of 9 to 13 kn most of the time. Thank you very much

Yes having a bit more glide helps with the jibe for sure. If you go with Enduro, I would go with the 1300: wingfoilprocenter.com/products/afs-enduro?_pos=1&_psq=Enduro&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Do you know if they are going to come out with something more dock oriented? Like an Enduro 1550 or something? I'm interested in AFS but I feel the Enduro 1300 is a bit too small for a primary use dock foil. Also how do you find the AFS mast to fuse connection? It doesn't seem to be any friction fit which worries me a little.

Agreed, can dock start the 1800 almost every time but had no success yet with the Enduro 1300. On the other hand the 1300 is great for supfoiling or down winders with a wing in small waves. The mast/fuse connection is rock solid!

I believe they have something in the works for dockstarting that is worth the wait 😉 For the connection mast-fuselage , it’s to me the best connection on the market currently. That’s why they went through the trouble of switching to this new fuselink connection recently, it makes the system extremely stiff without having the make the fuselage too big.

Thanks, Gwen. Is there an alternative to the KT Dragonfly 2 95L at a lower price point that you recommend? My hope is to surf foil and wing foil in light air. I appreciate your review!

Thanks Gwen. What is the upper rider weight for this setup?
@DamienLeroyYouTubeАй бұрын
This 1800 has a lot of lift because of its profile, so I would compare it to most 2000cm2 foil in term of lift. It really will lift any rider's weight, at that point once you have enough speed it will generate enough lift.
@ishtarluesby5269Ай бұрын
On another topic have you found a LW or DW board in the 8 to 9 foot range in the 23 inch width that an older heavy rider could try.

Absolutely, the 8’2 x 23” Whitebird is great: wingfoilprocenter.com/products/afs-whitebird?_pos=1&_psq=Whitebi&_ss=e&_v=1.0

I bought the 1500 for my 12 years old son (61kg). He had already around 10 hours of lesson or rental without any sailing experience. Last session he has done, it was on old generation of beginners foil. Each time he started to fly he couldn't counter the lift that was too strong. Last session I tried the equipment we have rented and it was too physical to stay flying with a very thick front wing. A lot of drag and a brutal lift. The kind of foil you want immediately change as soon as you fly. He has done 2 sessions with the AFS. He need more speed to fly but the take off is in control. He begin to fly with some touch and go. I have tried myself in 20 knots of wind. This foil has some glide and is very enjoyable. I think he will enjoy it for one year before needing to reduce the size (with very good options in the Evo range). It's more expensive than a beginner aluminium foil but with good perspective of evolution and a weight around 3 kg: easy to carry for a kid (and myself).
