I used performance z on and off and I don't see the difference. I thought leaving it off means the game would be running full resolution. When I use it it's usually to turn down the resolution option but still I don't see a much of a change. When I do turn it down some games don't work properly so I stoppd doing it

Is there anything we can do about the screen brightness dimming/forcing the brightness to like max 50% while gaming with 40°+? No matter which game if the device reaches 40° the screen automatically dims so much despite auto brightness disabled

People just wont admit that Exynos is not the same Exynos anymore, and yeah I think that we could expect a lot from the Exynos 2500 next year...btw just using battery byepass feature plus if you have cooler and you are good in gaming for hours 😁 And none other phones even Apple are not offering that feature like Samsung, so very good job done by Samsung 😁

With the same setup I'm getting 36C to 38C on my s23 base (pass through charging and cooler, highest graphics on genshin impact). But I have to note that the battery depletes much faster when not charging the phone compared to the test in the video, in the same test I would be at 10% or less remaining battery.

I have no complain for this phone to be honest. I upgrade from s22 base model to this s24 base model. And i can tell the difference is huge. Exynos 2400 is pretty good honestly even though its still behind Snapdragon 8 gen 2 in s23 base.

After few updates there's literally no heating issue for me ,but yes in some games at very high graphics settings it stutters out of nowhere after every few minutes. I have only two issues ,first is 5g network stability (network dropping a lot) my other phone with sd gen 2 is smooth as butter and the camera for this price point is very bad.

TBH, 8 Gen 3 is generally worse than 8 Gen 2 when it comes to sustained gaming performance because the 8 Gen 3 is heating up a lot. Exynos 2400 so far for me had been okay, more efficient than 8 Gen 2 and sustained gaming performance is rather good. My 5G network stability is great though

The S24 Plus (Exynos 2400) had been performing really well in the almost 3 months that I have been using it. I charge my phone only once every 2-3 days (I am not a heavy user). Feels better in my hands and in my pocket than my S24 Ultra and iPhone 14PM.

I had an A52 and switched to the S24+ The SD 8 Gen 2 might be a bit better in some areas than the Exynos 2400 but the opposite is also true. However, the S24+ will get 7 years of software update, which makes this phone pretty future proof when compared to the S23+. One factor to consider is how long you'll use the phone. If you plan on keeping it for as long as its usable, then the S24+ is gonna be the bettet option. If you plan to change the phone in 2-3 years, then both would be pretty good but the S24+ still retains the lead.

You might not be able to relate but Spiral Abyss is a thermal test for phones. I am a rank 45 (1.02 million) player that clears 12-3 abyss on mobile and every time I go for the abyss I have to put my phone in the freezer for a few minutes so it doesn’t throttle and lag. The abyss is not as graphically easy as you might think.

I own S24+ Exynos since 2 weeks too and been playing wz every day, the issue still persists and it's such a disgrace :/ No fix yet since over a month/the s3 update despite multiple patches. There's also a big reddit thread about it, Google Pixels and multiple other Android phones are also affected :(

Hmmm this is a bit more difficult to explain. There are two power ranges that people will fall into: 1. Lower power range - this is the everyday usage like taking pics, browsing the internet, WhatsApp, Telegram etc. and that operates at a lower power range. For this, Exynos 2400 is indeed more efficient than 8 Gen 2. 2. Higher power range - things like rendering videos or gaming will need more performance and this is the part that the Exynos 2400 and 8 Gen 3 will not be as efficient as the 8 Gen 2.

Problem is Android has ton of GPU options and gane developers are just messed. We have ARM Mali and Immortalis in MediaTek and Google Tensor, we have Qualcomm Adreno in Snapdragon and now Samsung has Xclipse made with AMD for Exynos. Really difficult to make games for Android IPhones are convenient here.

Sorry there might be a future for the exynos chips it's just not one where if the phone doesn't have a built in fan I would never recommend this line of chip and dimensity line as well just go with snapdragon

​@@NasiLemakTech what bruh... every review i see on youtube about this two chip sets and i am not talking about the gaming performance because they are very similar in that regard with this new 2 chips (for now), i mean in battery life day by day exynos in my experience heats up from nothing and lags a lot after heating up.Like for me with my exynos 2100 on my old s21 heated up just staying for 1 and a half hour on tik tok lives, i had around 41 degree celsius. After 3 years having an exynos chip i'm not coming back to that sh*t ever again.If snapdragon becomes a garbage chip in a near future wich is impossible, i'll go with apples phones, but for now snapdragons for me are better for gaming, efficiency and cooling with a well structured arhitecture.I'm not hating but i don't trust exynos anymore.

Play it in the high settings then you'll get 60 fps, also Exynos doesn't push performance past 48 fps that much in highest setting is because of battery preservation and life longevity. Other phones degrade their battery and thermal throttle trying to achieve constant 60 fps. Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra does the same thing which is why Xiaomi phones don't last long and have worse battery overtime even with Snapdragon 8 gen 3 chipset.

How so? It runs every single game on the app store at almost perfect 60fps besides some dips in stuff like Genshin, and can emulate every console perfectly. Playing a Switch game like Metroid Dread at 60FPS on mobile is pretty nuts, you can't get much better. He even says it's great in the video, and getter then the 8gen2 which was literally the best processor a year ago. There's like 3 phones I can think of that run better, and that's it (s24ultra, one plus 12, asus ROG all of which are more expensive.). He literally says the video is to disprove people that say it's bad performance in the video lol. Unless you're a hardcore Genshin player, then it's pretty much perfect.

Then Samsung knows this problem very well lol 😂 😂, their exynos phone runs way better btw 45fps to 50fps than 50fps to 60fps. Looks like instead of fixing their CPU fluctuation due to less quality wafers compared to TSMC, they have gone with idea of limitation. Apple does the same thing, but they do it internally mean while Samsung doing it externally. Advantages: Constant 48fps, less heat leads to less battery degradation, long hours of playing. Disadvantage: No 60fps or more.

If I would have to guess, games still run at 60 but still display at 48. It'd be pretty easy to test by just turning on an FPS overlay.

Yep, that option limits the game to 48fps. I think you don’t understand why the option is there and why it is better in some regards 48fps limit means the phone never needs to push the performance as hard to achieve 60fps, hence never thermal throttling and also no FPS drops. You get a consistent frame rate and better battery life too.
