I’m shocked to learn that pvp has chat enabled. I just assumed it wouldn’t. I’ve watched Vallun’s intro guides to the mode and was looking forward to trying it, but knowing chat is enabled makes me think again.

Or enable 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and the current mode. Analyse after 2 seasons what was played the most and by the most unique players. Remove one mode and continue the circle. Afterwards leav 2 modes to the people giving them a chance for diversity... Remove non ranked matches would be an option too... Since ranked is not serious at all anyways...

You didnt try for example the heal breaker spellbeaker build ? i heard its good if you play warrior, then again i dont think it matters too much in gold rank what you play tbh. But yeah pvp is not competitive, afkers, bots, toxic behaviour, hackers, wintraders etc etc but isnt this the way in most pvp games or ?. I agree the power creep and visual noise is kinda ugh but you can tone some of it down withtin the gfx settings, its alot more customizable than years ago. Solo Q'ing into ranked is meh i agree and you need to find a S-tier build that can carry, i heard chrono in pvp is insane atm, i play it in wvw so im not surprised its also decent support for spvp . Queue times can also suck the higher the rank you go and its literally impossible to queue off prime time, you get one low rank player on your team and gg to your rating if you lose. I know alot of people that have thrown games hard, so they can then win fast to get the backpack. I have not touched pvp in a while, but yeah the whole experience can be annoying, but hey atleast the rewards can be very good and the combat is 2nd to no other MMO. oh and i almost forgot the ability to queue in with a class then swap to another before the game starts is CRAZY!!!!! this should be stopped 100%. 1 vs 1 ranked would be an insane option for pvp, but i dont know about getting rid of the other options and no healers xD im not sure i like this idea. As for tutorials, i dont think new players would even use them unless they are forced too and tbh if they even cared they would use youtube and search for some pvp content creator guide.

funny how gw2 came out as a pvp game, and it was, but today spvp sux, while I now find that it's gw2 pve that actually shines...

Longbow is probably my favorite weapon in gw2 I hope they add multiclassing somehow one day so my ranger can rip 10k true shots :p

I disagree with removing ranked 5v5, BUT I do think there should be 3 different ranked modes ... AND THEY ALREADY FCK*NG EXIST, but Anet for some stupid reason keep it in rotation, instead of permanently in the game. I want to play 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 whenever I want, I hate being forced to just 5v5, it's a good game, but it is disgusting when you are in a row of trolls and wintraders. I literally rejoice whenever we have 3v3 or 2v2, because those are actual PvP enjoyment moments, 5v5 is only enjoyable when the whole team is actually playing and for the most part that doesn't happen, so having the option to hop between game modes in rank, that would be at the very a least a huge improvement with Anet keeping their lazy ass lazy.

How on Earth did it take you 8 years to finish this?? I've been working on my ascension for less than 2 months (almost 4 months if you're counting leveling up to rank 20 to play rankeds) and I'm close to finishing tier 4...

Been sitting through the entire vid, thinking to myself "Surely he'll get back on point about grinding out ascension, right?" The video ended so I guess I'll never know. Anywho, I've always despised pvp because there's always a meta and rarely is it actually about skill. It's like this in any and every mmo. I haven't yet given GW2 pvp a shot but frankly I don't know that there's any reason I even should. If I want to not have fun, I'll just hop on For Honor instead. :(

the point i was trying to make is that "Grinding out ascension" isnt so much about the task you have to do but how much bullshit you can feasibly take in the binds of a powercreeped and hilariously toxic game mode the process itself boils down to "Just win games" with some flavour text attached i do miss my for honor raider tho

sadly any of my interactions with non english speaking communities in guild wars 2 (of which PvP for some reason has many) has either been via their rage or instant group kicks/AFKs so whilst ive got nothing against anyone it doesnt leave the greatest of impressions

2v2 and 3v3 are the only times PvP is actually good for the most part in Gw2. Conquest is the cancer mode.
