I live in the US and never been to mainland China but I have been to Hong Kong. I started learning about China in early 2020 due to the pandemic and I've found it to be the most amazing and wonderful country in the world and a huge reason is due to it's culture! Happy you mentioned it too Rafael. Now after 3 years following China, I'm beginning to see why Marco Polo called China "Heaven on Earth." It truly is just that and one major reason is how the government takes care of it's people, particularly it's elderly.

Actually work ethics (working extremely hard) is a good trait to have, it's the reason why China is where it is today, from economically ranked nowhere 40 years ago to expectedly becoming the top economic super power in the world in couple of year's time. Working hard comes naturally for majority of the Chinese people and another fact is that there are differences between working hard willingly (happy to work) instead of being forced to work, with Harvard's research indicated above 90% of Chinese people approved of their government's method of governance which alleviated 800 million people out of poverty, it only showed their people were happily working. When they are happily willing to work, they'll go the extra mile which is something I don't see much in the western hemisphere.

Quite sure that another excellent reason for you to enjoy living in China is having your family there. The kids in China grow up in a very safe place. Education is taken seriously by everybody, and kids grow up in a forward looking country full of dreams and aspirations, yet steeped in rich history. I love that you have artistic eyes to frame the scenery which is quite different from other expats. While I also enjoy the political views of other expats like Lee and Jason, you just stay in the lane you are most comfortable with. It was not so long ago, and only Deng Xiaoping saved the country from horror, allowed "bad" capitalism, without the investments of which China would have remained a medieval village. I feel most people especially in the US only know about China because of the news and unfortunately the news only shows the negative political sides of China so people have a negative view about China, but videos like yours open people’s eyes.

When I was a college student, I went to Beijing as an exchange student - I went there to study Mandarin in exchange for one of their professors to come to my U.S. institution to study English for the entire academic year. I suggest you research similar programs; there are plenty out there.

A safe 5/6G country, where focus is on family & respect for elderly. Crime would not dare to surface due to the social credit. Looks like after 8 years your language skills, your child's opportunities are so wide that you made as a young father the best choice! Thanks for showing us around. Watching from Sydney.

Crime surface when you are poor and lack possibilities. Social credit would not fix that if young people would have no good option than enter in a gang.

Social credit is more than just about deterring crime. It hinders mobility and freedom on many levels. And its coming to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

I haven’t lived in China but I have visited about a dozen times over the last decade for work and pleasure and spent several months there cumulatively. This is a fantastic rundown of its strengths and made me eager to visit China again after a long break these past three years. Also, Shenzhen looks fantastic and is high on my list! Wonderful video and call-outs - 谢谢

Western media never say a good word about China (if there is, it must be something to ask for. )Continuous shooting needs a special gray filter for an ordinary Chinese blue sky, which is pathetic and shameful! ……

I lived in Shenzhen for 4 years myself and I agree with all the points you've mentioned here. However, there are few major points to consider when considering life in China. First of all, China green card, or permanent residence is notoriously hard to get, unless you have a few extra millions to throw into investment, or you're a Nobel prize winner. So, be prepared for family or work visa hustle every year, and hope there will be no covid or no change in regulations. Second - particularly in the cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai - you have to consider cost of life, and cost of real estate. Real estate prices in Shenzhen are insane, almost on the same level as Hong Kong. For me those were two major factors to consider other options in asia, particularly Thailand and Taiwan, which has a great residence program (Golden Card) for 3 years, with permanent residence after 3 years.

I lived in Shenzhen for 12 years, then I took my Chinese family back to Canada while my daughter went to university there. After 7 years, as soon as the border opened to allow me back in after COVID, we are back, and very happily so! Now we live in a community with no foreigners and I feel like I am home. I completely understand!

your lucky because my white friends here in the US and in Europe have no homeland to go back to. Most Western countries are being filed up with foreigners. Plz pray for the West even though you love your own country, as others are gradually losing options.

I have never been paid a penny for what I have said about China. I always tell the truth. I lived in China for many years and I learn how to speak Chinese, I learned traditional martial arts not contemporary wushu, and made many memorable friends over there. It was an excellent experience and I would do it again. 我已經想念中國,每天在中國真有意思。

Very high quality n professional level skills as good as Alex of Reportedfy Media n Travel. Keep it up Feel you are very lucky to be in China for all the reasons you mentioned. For me another appeal of China is the many the ancient natural n man-made wonders that I wish I could travel to China n explore.. So I wont mind to live in China for this reason.

So inspiring! hope China becomes more foreigners friendly in the future and can finally improve their permanent residency requirements
@王思凡-y4c Жыл бұрын
You are the only one who got the point here😂, the truth is, China is the future, yet is gonna be always foreigners-unfriendly here, because to protect the stability and stay safe and healthy, you just can't hold every migrants in indiscriminately, so China's policy is always granting permanent residency to any foreigners who could distribute great value to the society. if you don't, even when you marry a Chinese, that would not be a guarantee for a permanent resident card.

Do you know Guangzhou? There used to be many Africans who smuggled there, because there was no legal procedure, they stole and robbed to survive there, and we were very against them. Thanks to the lockdown of the epidemic that sent more than 300,000 Africans back to their own countries, we can finally play safely again.

I'm from France, people here looks so depressing and the cities are really dirty, there is a lot of poverty and homeless people in the streets, food is really expensive... It's just so stressful to live in! I hope one day I will find the opportunity to leave, videos like this motivate me and show me it's possible thank you! ❤
