Very good! I was wondering how the cheap Chinese carb worked out. If you swapped it out for an Aisin, or left it in. Beautiful old 40! My 60 wants to be a 40, but it’s still running good for an old 1987.

Hey Jonathan ... well I only managed to get 20 miles on it before I damaged the transfer case and had to park it ☹️ During that 20 miles it ran great! I’ll get some more miles on it this summer and will report back. Thanks for watching

Geez, what happened to the transfer case?

@@musiccitycruisers3863 Quick Question - Update on the Carb? Thanks for the videos they are very helpful. I am seriously considering the Carb you mentioned in lieu of rebuilding my Holley. Any updates, is it still performing for you?

Really great video... love the works you carried out on this build. Wanted to ask if you recommend installing an HEI with the original drive gear from the OEM distributor, because i heard you comment about running an HEI. Your response will be highly appreciated
@musiccitycruisers38633 жыл бұрын
Hey Wilfred, I've seen the HEI run on the folks rigs. I personally don't have any experience with them, but from what I understand it is a solid option. Good luck!

Hey I have an fj40 with a 2f engine from 1979 and it needs new piston rings and gaskets. I'm somewhat new to the car scene so it would be really helpful to know what are the gaskets that I need to change and how to know the ring size the engine needs. do you guys know if there's a source where I can find this?
