No way she'd play on a team I'm coaching, and I feel bad for the other players who have to endure her BS because the coach is stuck catering to her. She's on Rutgers, I don't believe; because of her choice, I don't know what top-notch winning program would want to tolerate the nonsense. She is a locker room cancer and a ball hog. I didn't see many of her players rushing to congratulate her on any of those scores but one. Her teammates are some good ones because if she stays, I'm hitting the portal. It has to be a nightmare to have to watch her play and lose every game.

McMiller is obviously very talented but in the limited times I've seen her play she seems to embrace a "its-all-about-me" rather than a "we're-better-off-together" mentality. On the court, I see her dribbling here and there with her teammates generally standing around. Off-court, her comments speak for themselves. In case you didn't know, the NBA over the last year or two has lost half of its viewership largely due to a lot of one-on-one play and overuse of three-pointers. Assuming McMiller's game stays the same, I'm wondering how high she gets drafted. Just wondering which WNBA team would be willing to take on that much controversy/drama, especially if she's worthy of being a lottery pick.

Nice if the team wins; after all, that is the purpose of playing the game. I can't stand that she would disrespect another Black woman. I don't think she would have done that to any other woman but one of color. I would never want to coach a player like her, no matter how good she plays. Candace Parker and Pat Summit bumped heads and look at how things turned out! Besides, none of the top 5 programs will allow her to shoot that many shots no matter the talent level of the other players! She would have ended up bouncing around from school to school and that NIL money getting lower and lower! She is in the right spot in a prime market and position to showcase what she can do! I don't know what happened, but coaches are NOT always right orbeing fair and just. At the same token, players aren't always right and are sometimes in their feelings. Part of me feels like coaches are no longer able to be abrasive or be as dismissive to players concerns, especially "star" players. The days of coaches making promises to get players to a school and then treating them any ol' kind of way is on the decline, I don't know if that's the case so i can't have a true opinion about the right or wrong in this case. Hopefully they can figure it out, because people are quick to label a player a problem when there is a chance the coach or other players may be just as problematic without consequence...

I don't like the assumption that she actually did something that warranted being sat for a game. I was an assistant coach for a women's college team & coaches are NOT always right & do NOT always act in the best interests of the team. IMHO, that only hurt the team/school. Let's remember that the team hasn't won a single conference game & that's on THE COACH. There's always 2 or 3 sides to a story & we didn't even get details to 1 side. My prediction is that she hits the portal AND the coach gets fired because the team is going nowhere fast. I also don't believe in a coach pushing their religious beliefs on players. The team is NOT a part of your ministry. It's a JOB. Each player has their own right to religious freedom.
@219tfair3 күн бұрын
She didn’t push her religious beliefs. Coach Washington played where McMiller will be playing 3 years from now! Coach Washington actually did her a favor by keeping things in house after McMiller showed how immature she is and how much growth she needs! The WNBA had guards just as good as McMiller and what isn’t understood is that if you carry a bad reputation, you don’t get opportunities to play in the W! That’s why her father stepped in and reminded everyone there is a plan!!
@sprtsfn25783 күн бұрын
I think the coach mishandled the issue.
