@kiemgallagher96704 жыл бұрын
We should all decline donations if we're able to make ends meet ourselves when in a crisis, but with something as serious as medical treatment for a patient who's in a coma and may need extended stays in hospital... in the US that is impossibly expensive, it can bankrupt even the most hardworking independent people - then there shouldn't be any shame in accepting the help of a community that so clearly loves them and genuinely want to help. Glad to see they could overcome this painful chapter with just their earnings from their shop but we shouldn't be quick to judge those who may need donations to overcome their challenges. This coming from someone who thankfully gets medical treatment for free, I'm constantly in shock whenever I read about young people dying because they can't afford medication for their medical conditions and they try to get by on lower doses, families ending up homeless because a child got cancer and it bankrupt them... that's a devastatingly sad reality.

@LynRuiz5 жыл бұрын
T H I can and I will mention it. I am an Asian native , I’m not going to pretend that “all lives matter”. This story isn’t about Asian superiority, but about community coming together to support this wonderful couple in their journey and the wife’s fight for life. My husband was one of the customers who bought 2 dozen after calling me and telling me the situation. I cried and admired the husband-because he’s an honorable man. Not sure why “hard working Asian” even matters in this story. This happens to be a Love ❤️ story with an Asian hard working couple. My Beautiful mother just died of a brain aneurysm at 57 a few months ago and she was also a “hard working” Asian.

@@lStranger OK so how do you provide for your family? You have to produce,sell something from a business. This is 3rd grade economics....you know that....
@lStranger5 жыл бұрын
@@clare2002 You don't need to produce, sell, own, or work for a business in order to survive. Many people in urbanized societies have become overly dependent on businesses, and are less self-sufficient as a result. I'm not saying that businesses aren't a great asset to people, however people can survive just fine without them if they choose to do so. There are people who choose to live independently and away from society, it just works for them. On another note, economics is the study of scarcity and human behavior towards limited resources. What kind of 3'd grade classroom teaches that? I digress, the point is that the community in the video has a strong social cohesion.
