Love your decor. I've found 3 blsck vintage suitcases for $2 each & found a black record player in a black suitcase. Its all stacked in an old wooden chair that i pd $5 for. I think it looks good.

OMG!!! I love your videos. I too shop in Tomball, Cypress, Bellville, and Sealy. I must tell you that I am a teacher and have summers off. This past summer, I discovered you and Krista Meeker. Your videos literally changed my life. I was an overweight Type 2 diabetic. However, you and Krista inspired me to go with my love of Victorian antiques along with thrifting. You both totally transformed my life as I began redecorating my house and thrifting the entire summer. No longer did I sit around and eat the wrong foods, but you both took my mind in a different direction. I have lost 50lbs and have a beautifully decorated home. Perhaps if you turned the mirror the other way, with edge upwards. The wide edge may draw the eye upwards.

It’s all so pretty! Just adding those winter sprigs to the ice skates made them even more adorable. I used your idea of hanging winter scarfs on my hall tree. I would love to find vintage ice skates, too. My husband does have his dad’s old ice skates but they’re like a men’s size 13, big and not so attractive 😄

I like how your vignettes create a story. Someone home from work puts down their briefcase and takes their hat off. Someone takes off their reading glasses near the books they just read. It’s so thoughtful ❤ I agree with you about post-Christmas decor blues I try to keep out some greenery and snowmen to transition and ease myself along😂

I do like the mirror at the bottom of the stairs. So many people say we should have a mirror in our entryway to check our appearance before welcoming guest but I like to envision your checking yourself in the mirror before going upstairs to be with your husband at night. Your decorating style has a romantic feel, at least to me. Guess some might prefer the whip and chains but I prefer the elegant, sweet touches you use in your house.

Danielle I love how you arranged your clocks as well. I also collect clocks and love to put as many of them together in one place as I can. I have always loved that hall tree and you decorated that very well, really love all the canes you have collected. I never thought about the negative space beneath the mirror before (because I love it so much) until you said someone had mentioned that so I looked to see if perhaps you could move the suitcases beneath it but then realized it would get in the way of going up the stairs. Well you have made your home cozy and if I owned a house and had a renter that cared as much as you do to take care of it that would be a real blessing. Love it as always! I have clocks all throughout my house. I decorate my mantle with 5 of my clocks, with my brass candlesticks and fairy lights and keep it up until end of January ❤

I like the way you have your mirror. I had an off the wall idea about what could be under it. If you had a similar mirror put upside down under it, it would create a diamond shaped full length mirror. Would probably look dumb but in my vision it looks stunning and unique.

I have a similar mirror that I put on my mantle. I don’t think your mirror looks odd at all. It simply looks like a lovely salvaged and repurposed find. I noticed the scalloped edge on it. I would try to find a similar scaled dark shallow shelf to adhere to the bottom of it. It could give you another opportunity to display your lovely little treasures. You should be a set designer for period films!❤

I love the mirror. I think it only looks odd because it's(obviously) meant to sit on top of a dresser/vanity. If it didn't have the thick bottom piece it wouldn't look odd. That being said...i like odd and unexpected things in a home. So I'd leave it because it's unique

I love the mirror at the bottom of the stairs! I heard you say some people don't like the mirror hung there. I honestly like the way it looks. As I was watching today I was thinking about it...have you thought about hanging it upside down? It looks like the bottom of the mirror could give you a narrow shelf if it was hung upside down. Just a thought. I honestly like it the way it is now, I've been tempted to find something like it. Happy New Year!
