After The Dragonborn did everything he could possibly do (struck deals with all the Daedric Lords, assumed the leadership of every faction, became a Thane in every Hold, etc) he got bored, and decided to explore new lands. Unfortunately, he was caught trying to cross the southern border into Cyrodil. The Imperial guards ambushed him and delivered a fatal blow before he had a chance to react. He awakens in the afterlife, sitting in the back of a wagon that seems all too familiar... but the sensation of familiarity passes as he realizes his hands are bound. He returns to Skyrim a prisoner, headed to the executioner's block.

Let's take a moment to realize The Last Dragonborn is unfairly overpowered, whereas I am fairly normal by comparison. In my world, being chased by 50 dragons can't be avoided by hiding behind some rocks or under a wooden overhang. The rocks would melt, the building would go up in flames. The Last Dragonborn can *stop time* and completely change their armor, weapons, etc. in an instant.. The Last Dragonborn's metabolism is batshit insane. If they are near death, they can stop time and consume enough food to feed an entire village for weeks (and not get fat), and have all their wounds healed in an instant. Not to mention that repeatedly undressing and redressing in enchanted clothes and chugging a few potions cannot make me a god..

All the side quests ARE cannon but not in the sense that the dragonborne was the leader of all the guilds at the same time.. the stories happened but history will simply remember the events with vagueness such as "the listener killed the emporer" not "the dragonborn became listener and killed the Emporer." As if it were all done by different random people although as a game, you get to play out those stories. Game = Dragonborn did all that stuff History = vaguely titled, different people did those things. It's never specifically said but it's implied, almost winked at "The fighters guild sent in one of their members to the black marsh mercenary guild (or whatever the name was) to discover and destroy the Hist tree" as opposed to "The hero of kvach was sent to discover and destroy the hist tree..." See what I'm saying?

The Last Dragonborn? He was a mighty warrior. He had the skill of the greatest assassin, the strength of the mightiest god, the knowledge of the grandest scholar. Selfless, too. In fact he was too selfless. Had no idea how to live for himself. Every waking hour he was doing one of two things: Helping people, or becoming able to help people. He saw himself as a man blessed with the opportunity to make others' lives peaceful and prosperous. Those others, he didn't think of them that way. He thought of them as his people, regardless of race or any other arbitrary factors such as that. Despite his prowess, his intelligence, his skill, his heart, he considered all to be his equals, he loved them, he cared for them, and his actions reflected his heart. But he was never among them. He would assist, he would use their services, he would talk when it was necessary. But never, ever, would he mingle. He knew that despite all his thoughts and feelings and efforts, he was different and separate from others. I was the only person who ever got close to him, and I've heard his account of the story. Of his story. In spite of all of his talents, he was an outcast since birth, and his detachment lead to resentment. After being physically exiled from his home for his fits of rage, when he would unleash his powers on those he lived beside but not among, he fell into anguish. He had slain so many of the people who tried to love and accept him. They tried to fit the square in the round hole, they tried to help that boy live a normal, happy life. But he had squandered all their efforts. Knowing no other option, he prayed, and he read, of philosophy and religion, surely something in these books could help him at least live with himself, to sleep at night without a dagger clutched to his chest. Through years of isolation and discipline, he heard one voice speak back to him as he spoke to it. "There's a horse nearby, take it, and ride it straight forward, it will take you to where you are needed." He dropped all self worth in his isolation. He obeyed the order without another thought. And he saw immediately what he was needed for. He had sinned and he spent all the rest of his days atoning. But, I could tell, that that wasn't the reason he never stopped. A quarter of his exploits could cleanse a wicked demon of sin a dozen times. No, from the very start, he realized the good and worth in making others smile. Making others happy. Sadly, he never smiled back. His deeds weren't easy, his prowess was put to the harshest test every day. His past and his hardships weighed on him like shackles, scarred him like blades, and burned him like flames. He sacrificed his joy, his well-being, his very life for the people of Skyrim. And the damnedest part of it all? None of us ever knew his name.

I think the last dragonborn was too powerful to be contained by mora, but of course mora did not want him to know this. So mora deceived the dragonborn to question himself and follow mora's path accidentally. If you go to nurrellion (or the wizard who helps you find the black book, i dont remember his name) then he will examine you and see no signs of mora, which means you are not his servant.

If you powerscale TLDB you'll find he's stronger than Lorkhan as a weaker Alduin could defeat Shor/Lorkhan and the Dragonborn beat Alduin. Thu'ums are not magic but creation. A Fus Ro Dah actually creates the force of the shout from nothing. The deadric princes are far below that in terms of power.

Not sure if someone mentioned it, but the Dragonborn being a direct creation of Akatosh, means that the latter has the last word of what happens to his soul. The dragonborn can sell his soul to rach daedric prince and they would never be able to collect it due to the nature of it. Being a dragon, thus a creature outside from the plane of nirn and more than likely, directly linked to Aetherius. The "what really happened" can be explained via a dragonbreak. There is a theory that all games are being seeing through an elder scroll and thus, causing all timelines to come together then it means all probabilities happened. Anyways, that's my two cents.

remember that Akatosh has the last word of what happens to the dragonborn's soul and Miraak betrayed the dragons, it seems pretty fitting to me that akatosh decided to turn his back on Miraak just as he did with his on kin (is the dragonborn a brethen to dovah, anyway?) The question then is: what does Akatosh think of the dragonborn after we kill Alduin? is he mad about it and lets us rot with Mora? (i mean, Alduin wasn't supposed to die! he was meant to destroy the world and he eventually will come back to make it happen!) or is he happy that we saved the world and his creation and pulls us out of there?
@danielleon63128 жыл бұрын
true, didn't think about that. Now, the video literally just said that any other deadric pact where you sell your soul is NOT cannon, but what WOULD happen if the dragon born makes a pact with another deadric prince but then Mora imprisions him? are some deadric princes stronger than others? i would assume that daegon is the strongest?

Well in my story the Dovakin built a house from the ground up for his wife Ysolda after staying at her tiny house since moving to Skyrim. He then adopted that little girl on the bench he past every day when running back and forth from Skyforge and Warmaidens with butt loads of Iron. He went and found Lydia the Racist. Though all her racist crap about Skyrim belonging to the Nords she still took care of his Redguard ass when he needed it. She came to look after his house, Serana also joined them, refusing to leave Dovakin's side. One day Dovakin remembered he had left some stuff back in Whiterun so he road out. When he got there he was approached by a giant of a man covered in Ebony armour. It was strange to him, no one other than himself and Deadra wear good armour. The man approached him and challenged him to a fight. Feeling the thirst for one last adventure he travelled with Shadowmere until he reached Last Virgil. Where the man known as Ebony Warrior awaited him. He was a challenge for the Dovakin, though all his Iron dagger making he never thought anyone would be able to best him. After a hard fight he won. He looted the Ebony Warrior and returned home. He dumped everything he had in a chest. But the feeling never left him, that there was someone out there that was almost as strong as him, what if there was someone stronger? That night he left, Serana body blocked him at the door. He commanded her to wait and got on Shadowmere and left. His wife and child never saw him again. Stories often surface, finding their way back to Ysolda. About a man eating everything he lays his eyes upon, running around casting Muffle spells, standing in front of giants with nothing but a shield, attacking and healing his red eyed horse. Some say he lost his mind, but there are some who say he is on a quest to become the best.

I don't think the Dragonborn becomes a servant of Hermaeus Mora, I think the whole point of the dialogue is to show how close the Dragonborn was to becoming a servant of Hermaeus Mora. I'm mostly basing this off of the conversation with Neloth after defeating Miraak: Neloth: Hold still. Let me get a good look at you. Dragonborn: What are you looking for? Neloth: Incipient madness. Loss of self-awareness. Black spots in the whites of the eyes. Any of the documented indications of Hermaeus Mora's permanent influence. Hm, no, you look fine. At least no different than when I first saw you. This set of dialogue really doesn't seem to make much sense if going with the theory that the Dragonborn does indeed become a servant of Hermaeus Mora.
@theinnocentpotato53827 жыл бұрын
I don't think it really means anything though, after all, being his champion does not mean that you're under his permanent influence, unless he for some reason can break the rules of other daedric princes, look at Boethiah, for example, she sends you to kill her former champion, because he stopped serving her, if being a daedric prince's champion meant being under their permanent influence, why would Boethiah do that?

I sometimes imagine the last Dragonborn is a reincarnation of Akatosh who has been dormant since the Oblivion crisis; with every dragon soul absorbed they grow closer to apotheosis, to ascend back into godhood as Akatosh and end the 4th era Dragon Crisis. There must always be a god of time, so perhaps Alduin was sent ahead in time for Akatosh to later secure his own return. I also wonder what price the last Dragonborn paid Hermaeus Mora to escape Apocrypha; did they relinquish all captured dragon souls, the means of Akatosh's return, to Hermaeus Mora? Is the god of time now enslaved by the god of knowledge and fate? Did Hermaeus Mora orchestrate the entire Dragonborn prophecy for personal gain?

You "kill" Alduin. As far as we know he cannot be truly killed. The world eater is needed for the cycle of the world to end (without a world eater the universe doesn't end like it should have). Like one of the greybeards mention when you defeat Alduin, maybe he will return at the end of time to fulfill his duty as the World Eater since you didn't absorb his soul, probably because you cannot absorb his immortal soul. Alternatively, we might have killed Alduin for good. In which case maybe the next game we'll be tasked with becoming the world eater to end the era and start the new world(as a new character with some godly privilege from Akatosh. Unless Akatosh had taken the form of Alduin, which most of Tamriel seems to believe.. Wiki does state that "Akatosh is Alduin" is a misconception, though. But who knows.) There are plenty of villains to pick from. So it's probably not going to head in that direction. But perhaps we will see a new World Eater tasked with ending the world in future Elder Scrolls games?

sam raynes Mine got married to Aela the Huntress and was the leader of all guilds and ascended to God-hood half Daedra half Aedra. He would choose a new champion whenever his champion dies and they go to his own oblivion realm (because he's half daedra) and it's like Sovngarde but you are able to help defend Nirn from the other Daedra that ever attempt to take it over (like the oblivion crisis and Molag Bal trying to take over nirn in ESO) and you are able to return to Nirn and fight for good. One of his champions leads a rebellion to overthrow the empire (my DB sided with the Stormcloaks) that gained many soldiers from the Nords and other races that hated the High Elves. The rebellion was successful but there were rebellions against the champion. The champion ends up taking a side with one of the rebellions and crushes the others and killed anyone who opposed him. When this champion died, when he goes to that plane of oblivion that my DB has my DB gives him a sword that's like a dwarven blade with a daedric hilt, all made of ebony with rubies engrained into the hilt. The hilt is made of gold with the look of a daedric holy but the blade of a dwarven sword blade made of ebony. With this, he slays the daedra along side my DB, becoming the strongest non god in the universe of Skyrim

Personally, I think the Dragonborn's soul is protected by Akatosh and that is why Hermaeus Mora had to let him/her go. Whereas he was able to kill Miraak because he had pledged himself to the Daedric Prince. But Hermaeus Mora just lost his servant and wants a new one, so it would be in his interest to keep it a secret and try and sway the Dragonborn to joining him.
@blackandwhitesolus94899 жыл бұрын
Hmm. One thing that stuck with me as I listened to this was someone in skyrim (I can't remember their name I think it was a dragon or greybeard) said that dragons are always looking for more power, always looking to dominate and control everything and everyone and that you too share this ambition having the soul of a dragon. To me this cannonized all of the side-quests, looking for positions of power essentially everywhere, has the beck and call of the mages guild, companions, thieves guild and can even speak to the night mother. My dragonborn did every quest in the game basically and has this massive horde of treasure, gold and ancient powerful artifacts from all across skyrim and beyond, all horded in his keep in Markarth(inside a mountain). To me this screams dragon from any old tale. I think the dragonborn is going to constantly grow in power and control as much as he can, i mean.. maybe when he's done with tamriel he will set out to another continent to feed his dragonsouls desires(or perhaps from an immense impending threat). My theory about the dragonborn selling his soul to all the daedra, is that mentioned in this video even Hermaeous Mora himself doesn't know all that much about the dragonborns, they're a mystery to the prince of unknowns. Perhaps dragonborns souls cannot be given freely, maybe that's why the dragonborn can pretty much do whatever the hell he pleases. The other daedric princes may not know anything about the dragonborn, all they know is they want this mega-powerful being as a servant so they try to swindle and lure you into servitude. I think Mora knows this or at least has his suspicions. In my opinion Hermaeous Mora is the MOST powerful(or crafty/intelligent) of the daedric princes and even he could not bind a dragonborn(miraak) to do his bidding, all Mora could do was imprison him or kill him, not control him. Now my second and most hated theory is.. the goddam dragonbreaks, essentially this phenomenon makes every goddam playthrough cannon material(atleast in some other multiverse). so there's my opinion. I hope you agree with the first because I think it's a pretty goddam cool idea and I would love to hear old tales of the ''mighty dragonborn'' and all his massive crusades, museums full of ancient relics and his own private army trained by the man himself.

BlackAnd WhiteSolus The most interesting thing is...how does a Dragonborn grow in power? Through knowledge. The more words of power he knows, and the most understanding of those words he possesses; the more powerful the dragonborn is. Now what entity in the known world has the most knowledge, Hermaeus Mora. That's what i find interesting. Out of every possible thing a Dragonborn could do to get power, siding with Mora would probably be the most benefitial out of all of them.
@blackandwhitesolus94899 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly, to my knowledge all of the princes except one, always reward the dragonborn with items of power like swords or armor. But if you're a near invincible badass those can only go so far, but knowledge and otherworldly powers seem to be infinite and will always trump material objects. Hermaeus Mora is the obvious choice for any powerful being with a long road ahead of them. And they're seems to be a trend with the hero's in Elder Scrolls games, they always gain power and go off to find their destiny, their own way of doing what feels right to them. And with the soul of a dragon? It seems logical.
@blayzegibson70129 жыл бұрын
To add to your hunger for power comment; Hermaeus Mora says at the end of the dragonborn quest after defeating mirraak, that you can continue to be "richly rewarded". Maby he knows that dragons have a hunger for power, and after studing mirraak for so long and learning from him, (trial-and-error), he is wetting the dragonborns appetite for power by offering limmitless knowlege. In an effort to have the dragonborn in even more of his direct control than mirraak was.

Here's why I disagree with several of your points : 1. In Mora's realm, Miraak controls the daedra of that realm. I have to assume that because Miraak was immune to Mora's lure, he was in control of himself. 2. Mora needs the LDB to face off against Miraak. 3. If Alduin indeed created Dagon, LDB is on par with daedric princes. 4. Miraak thought that with his and LDB's power combined, he can overpower Mora. LDB absorbs Miraak. Now S/He can say F you to Mora.

DIPTANGSHU MISHRA THANK YOU! Not to mention the last dragon born defeated alduin (who is a God & is part of the ancient Nordic pantheon) he didn’t absorb his soul but I think that doesn’t account to Alduin since he is part of the pantheon. So The Last Dragonborn is pretty much stronger then Mora if you really think about it. S/he destroyed Harkon and The last vampiric snow elf. Dude is by all rights a Demi-God by the end of the Dawnguard DLC. So him being like FUCK YOU MORA I DO WHAT I WANT is a good claim and he has the right do what he damn well pleases.
4 жыл бұрын
To be fair dawnguard is pretty inconsequential, the bosses are nothing special really. Sure a pure blood vampire from ages ago but really just a Nord guy who reached 40 and became a pure vampire so he'd stop getting older. Really he doesn't have any more power than a group of like maybe 200 nord farmers and can die just like a goat if you hit him enough times. Next is a generic snowelf vampire. Not a particularly potent strain or pure blood or anything. Jus a relatively old Falmer mage with a fairly common disease that he caught by accident. The only special thing about him is his race since all the rest died. Besides that he's basically just archmage teir. Alduin on the other hand is basically a demi-god. Dragons are already a cut above the rest being the literal offspring of akatosh, the god of time - unchanging since they were 1st created. And alduin is the one, the world eater, his job is to destroy the planet at the end of each kalpa cycle so the next cycle can happen and so on forever and ever. He's a force of nature on mundus. Killing him fr is like killing the seasons or killing the future. It doesn't even make sense. Hense why you can't take his soul at the end. He's not just a dragon, he's The dragon

@@ShadowDarkHeart90 No, TLB is just that, a dragonborn. There is high implications that they are a shezzarine as well but even then they would still be no match for a full power deadric prince. Let's say TLB now has Miraak's "power", they are still no match. If the LDB fights Mora in apocrypha they physically cannot win no matter what they do because the realm itself is controlled by mora, and if they fight in mundus then Mora cannot be killed. Sure the dragonborn could say fuck off to Mora and im sure Mora would not be able to do much while the dragonborn remains on mundus. You're really going about this the wrong way - trying to figure out which thing is canon and which isn't. The way the loremasters do it is that they implement a Dragonbreak (time-break from Akatosh the time dragon). A Dragonbreak means that time shatters into many parallel timelines due to some major event and until the issue is solved and time is healed, branching realities occur. As the loremasters put it, all those realities happened and did not happen simultaneously. Then the timelines merge and the result is a ton of people with messed up memories and conflicting historical records (like books in the game that clearly contradict each other).

So I wandered skyrim and found myself in falkreath. I did a minor favor for the jarl and like the place so I decided to buy some property. After a long period of construction with help from Lydia I fell in love with her. We married and adopted the young beggar in whiterun on a trading trip there. The last of my years ended knowing that the apocalypse happened because I did not want to die trying to slay someone with the title of world eater. I died a happy man.

I'm pretty sure Hermaeus isn't all that powerful even in his realm. I think he has to let you go because at that point you are still a danger to him even in his realm. He has to first corrupt your mind because that's where he's strongest. After all even the hero of kvatch managed to wreak a bit of havok in oblivion and mehrunes dagon wasn't able to just stop them, so why would hermaeus have such power? Especially considering that he needed your help to get rid of Miraak and could only finish him off after you already defeated him. In fact it could well be that the whole impalement thing was more symbolic than anything. So I think he will very likely to attempt to corrupt him in the future and he's just foreshadows that with what he says. So I think that actually makes it more likely that the connection to Hermaeus will remain as far as lore goes.

The Elder Scrolls games take place in a persistent medieval setting filled with heroes, monsters and magic, where some heroes tend to stand out among others. I put forward that each play-through of an Elder Scrolls game is actually a story about that particular hero, being told orally by skalds, wise grandparents, teachers, drunks, or what have you. Using Skyrim as an example, once upon a time a stranger came to Skyrim and, after slaying a dragon, was revealed to be the next Dragonborn. As you stated, everything that happens in the main questline (including the DLC's) are things that actually happened - think of the main story as the truth behind the legend. Meanwhile, however, events were taking place in Skyrim that had nothing to do with the Dragonborn. After all, the world didn't just take a nap while the Dragonborn did his thing. A young mage joins the mage's college and quickly rises in it's ranks, solving some of the college's biggest mysteries and dispatching of it's enemies. A strong warrior is initiated into the Champions, where he discovers that the members are all wearwolves, and through his involvement the curse of lycanthropy is reversed. Meanwhile, a new assassin within the Dark Brotherhood plots the death of the Emperor. All of these things happened, and all of these stories are true, but none really compare to the feats of the Dragonborn. However, as time goes on, and as is typical in oral tradition, the stories have been sort of... blended together. I mean, the tale of the Dragonborn is pretty interesting, but just imagine if the Dragonborn was also the arch-mage of the mages guild, cured lycanthropy, and assassinated the emperor? Now that would be a tale for the ages! In short, the side quests in the game do represent historical events within that particular period in Skyrim's history, but the Dragonborn's involvement in many of them simply represents the creative license of story tellers throughout the ages in order to artificially inflate the legend of one of Skyrim's greatest heroes.
@geringmatt8 жыл бұрын
I agree with this, what the Dragonborn accomplishes in the main quest line is only what is seen as the Dragonborn's feats throughout history. Everything else that is a side quest, is somewhat up to the player to decide as their own story in their own game but will never be seen as the Dragonborn's accomplishments.

This is my Dragonborn's story: He started out being captured by the Imperials and accused of being with the Stormcloaks. The beginning events happen and he eventually discovers that he is Dragonborn, but is very hesitant to accept the roll. The more he does the main quest, the more he begins to realize how important he is and how serious the dragon threat is. He goes through the main quest normally and is a hero after defeating Alduin but later decides that he dislikes being famous and heroic. So he returns to Brynolf and joins the Thieves Guild for a different life, but then abandons it after he finishes the thieves guild quest. He joins the Dark Brotherhood to embrace his inner darkness and becoming more of an assassin than a hero. After Astrid is killed, he regrets joining them and seeks redemption by joining the Dawnguard and falling in love with Serana and defeating Lord Harkon. He is then a hero again and goes to do the Dragonborn quest. After defeating Miraak, he recognizes his power and position and decides to intervene the Civil War of Skyrim by becoming High King, reuniting all of Skyrim and going to war against the Thalmor.

I know I'm way late here, but I'd love to mention the fact that Sheogorath in Skyrim mentions butterflies, blood, a Fox, a severed head, and cheese when reminiscing about the Oblivion Crisis. These are most likely referencing the beginning of Shivering Isles, the Blood of the Daedra/Aedra main quest, the Gray Fox of the Cyrodiil Thieves Guild and the severed head of Mathieu Bellamont's mother. The cheese is most likely a reference to Sheogorath's Daedric Shrine quest in Border Watch. Assuming that this Sheogorath is the Hero of Kvatch (as it is heavily hinted at several times), this would mean that him mentioning the Fox and the severed head could very well imply that the Hero of Kvatch participating in both of the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood questlines are canon.

I think I could have been a little clearer with what i meant with what i think is canon and what i dont think is canon. I strongly believe the Main Quests (INCLUDING THE EXPANSIONS) are canon. So Oblivion main quest + Knights of the nine + Shivering Isles. Then for Skyrim. The main quest + Dawnguard + Dragonborn. My doubts are for the sidequests outside of those. Now that being said, don't you find it interesting that at least for morrowind and oblivion, both characters are in their own way immortal? In morrowind the disease makes the nerevarine never age, while sheogorath is a god now so he will never age. If the dragonborn does indeed join with hermaeus, then he wouldn't age either. Interesting stuff.

The Dragonborn probably never returned back to Tamriel. After killing Alduin in Sovangarde they probably just stayed in Sovangarde because he lost purpose. OR He became the new Talos in the sense that he became a god. In that case he would stay in Aetherius. Probably in Sovangarde considering the Nordic heritage of the Dragonborn. From a lore sense not a race sense. Either way he ended up in Sovangarde. Another one is that he just explored Apocrypha and just started serving Hermaus Mora like Miraak. But a less evil version. Regarding the side quests... These probably were done by different people. An example is the Dark Brotherhood quest. Titus Mede II died BUT the Dragonborn didn't kill him. Regarding the Civil War... Skyrim ends up in 2 ways. 1: The War resumes and never ends. 2: Skyrim splits up into two provinces. One independent, One part of the Empire. So in short, The Dragonborn most likely left Mundus to go and explore Oblivion or Aetherius. The side quests were done by someone else. The civil war either splits Skyrim or it never stops. Another thing to note is that the Dragonborn CANONICALLY built a house in Falkreath so it probably became a tourist attraction.

You hear some things about the hero in Oblivion, like how someone allegedly stole an Elder scroll, but it's only ever in passing. Martin Septim was the one that took the glory in that story as his name had significance, and he sacrificed himself. The hero was just a random prisoner. Unlike the Nevarine, who was mentioned quite a bit in Obivion, as he was a famous entity in his time. Yet all we knew was that after his adventures in Tes3 was that the went on a mission to find and destroy the Dwemer 'brass god', that Tiber Septim used to conquer Tamriel in the second era. I imagine Tes6 will be set 100-200 years after Skyrim and we will hear similar stories about how he went on some other adventure and never returned.

This is kinda why I have several games that used the mod "Live Another Life" so I could create different characters to finish the side quests. Only one of those characters started the game normally and was in fact the dragonborn of legend. I may have gone bit too far in terms of roleplaying tho.....

The only thing that sucks is that you cant do the civil war (at least on the imperial side ive never done it the other way around) without reporting to jarl balgruuf that you have seen a dragon near helgen even tho your character never visited it

Same. I probably have like 5 of em, and not one has even come close to beating the main quest line. My favorite though has to be my Argonian thieve's guild member. Mishaps with an enslaved dwarven sphere got me kicked out more than a few times.
@lolerzzz7 жыл бұрын
If you use "Skyrim Unbound" instead of "Alternate Start - Live another life" you don't need to become dragonborn to complete the civil war questline. You can literally just become a soldier.
@Yangblaze117 жыл бұрын
@ Ungreatful Duck Except that being dragonborn has nothing to do with the race of the character, nords just have more history using the voice but you should be given the option of choosing not to be dragonborn then what you said can work, forcing players who don't want to play a nord to not be able to use a game mechanic is silly at best. As for the guild thing, kinda makes sense. For lore thing about race, while what you say is true there are also people for example that are amazing mages even if they are not high elves or terrible mages despite being a high elf, the thing is high elves would have a easier time with magic general so many of the best mages would be high elves. With the race limitation thing you want to implement it would be less organic not more.

“You know, I was there for that whole sordid affair. Marvelous time! Butterflies, blood, a fox, a severed head... Oh, and the cheese! To die for.” Sheogorath says this in the quest ‘Mind Of Madness’. This could just be Sheogorath being Sheogorath, or it could be talking about the grey fox, “a fox”, from the thieves guild and Bellamont’s dead mother, “a severed head”, from the dark brotherhood. Therefore this could be proof that the side quests, or at least some of them, do actually happen.

Relopezgil MeliMig i agree with this strongly. it's likely that a select few (ones that are significant) are the ones that are canon, so for TES V probably the dark brotherhood questline for one. although i doubt it will be the LDB that did it seeing as it goes against their values shown in the main quests.

I like to see it like this: The dragon born has done all the world has asked him to. He has battled the powerful Alduin and saved the souls of Sovngarde. He has fought with Miraak, the First Dragonborn, and proved his dominance. He even fought against Lord Harkon and his clan of Vampires, saving the land of Skyrim and all of Tamriel repeatedly and in his age he rests at his home and wishes to live out his life in peace. But Skyrim's civil war rages on. Every day brave men and women of Skyrim die fighting one another, brother killing brother, and in some cases Father killing Son. The Dragonborn cannot accept this. He has done much in his time on Nirn but there is one more thing that must be done. He must end this war but not in a way many would think. He takes no sides in the conflict. He sides with no one. He aids no man on either side of the spectrum and instead uses his powers to force the war to an end, bringing Ulfric Stormcloak and General Tullius together, something many thought impossible. Even the men themselves were in shock at how well the Dragonborn convinced them. Some men and women grumble about the unfairness of the situation. "The Imperials are foolish slaves to an Empire that cares not for them." "The Stormcloakes are radicalists who fight for a man who only cares for himself." The Dragonborn cares not for the ambitions of one man or the blind loyalty of another, he cares for Skyrim. With this massive gathering of men and women at his back, many loyal to him and praising him for ending this gods forsaken war, he takes them to the heart of Skyrim's problem. The Thalmor. They are in shock at the legion of warriors who back one man and a small shiver crawls down each of their backs as this image reminds them very much of the man who had conquered Tamriel many years ago. They send their strongest warriors and mages, diplomats and peacekeepers, all to simply ask the Dragonborn why he is here. With the sky above him booming louder than the Red Mountain of Morrowind upon its explosion, the Dragonborn speaks. "I am here to say one thing. Leave my people be. The people of Skyrim have suffered long enough and I am here to put this all to an end! You and your Thalmor cohorts will leave Skyrim immediately... lest you face the full might of her army." A few chuckles came from the Elven fools but their head spokesmen did not even crack a smile. "Do what you wish. We have won a war between your people before," the army of elves behind him readied themselves for battle. "We will do so again." The Dragonborn took three steps forward, lightning crawling from the sky to the Earth with each precious step. The legion of Skyrim's people behind the Dragonborn prepared for war as well. He did not speak a word and with a large sigh the archers of Skyrim fired their arrows. The war had begun. It was long and bloody, many a life for both sides had been taken, so many dead that the Snow beneath their feet had become coated in red, the new snow that fell from the clouds even turning red itself. It is said the war lasted for days, neither side giving until the Dragonborn called forth aid from someone he knew he could count on. Odahviing. The massive dragon flies overhead and with his own mighty thuum he aids in the attack on the Thalmor who refused to give. The fight fell in favor of Skyrim and the Dovakiin exerted his dominance by blasting apart the Thalmor castle they remained in. "Hear me all who seek to command my people! As long as I live, Skyrim will be in the hands of the Jarls who rule it! Any Thalmor who seeks to conquer my home again will answer to me!" The skies raged in fury at the sound of the Dovahkiin's voice. "Skyrim is in the hands of its people and no one else!!" And thus the war there ended. The lives lost will never be forgotten. The people who sacrificed themselves so that Skyrim would remain free of Elven rule. It was now in the hands of the people. This was the last thing the Dragonborn did before his untimely passing... and the things he did for the people of Skyrim would not be forgotten by anyone. Hail Dragonborn.

Here's the one flaw in the theory: Miraak was still alive for the Dragonborn to defeat. Why wouldn't Hermaeus Mora just kill him for his betrayal? Perhaps a they were both stronger than Hermaeus Mora let on
@alexguerreiro154 жыл бұрын
because to permanenty kill a dragon you need a dragonborn. Miraak being a dragonborn naturaly has the soul of a dragon and can only be permenently killedby a dragonborn or if adragonborn is present to absorb his soul. Even if he phisically killed Miraak he could return like the other dragons revived by Alduin.

Lemme tell you how I stuck it to Hemorrhoid. Before traveling to Solstheim I found that loony in the ice by Winterhold College. Over time I did his errands, got the blood samples, and picked up the Necronomicon Ex-Mora. I didn't read it right away, though. In fact, I never did. After taking care of Miraak I leveled up completely without it, and then I found a nice place. Specifically, the Aetherium Forge. I made my way to the middle of the lava and chucked the damn thing in. Then I made certain to position it so that it couldn't even be retrieved by telekinesis. Because screw Hermaeus Mora. He waited all that time to get his precious book out of the ice? Well it can roast in a fire pit instead, because I ain't his bitch. If he wants it he can get some other superhero to play fetch.

Dragonborn is trapped in Apocrypha. No Elder Scrolls game has a "happy end" in the real end. In Morrowind you contracted Corpus and turned immortal, but you feel constant pain and agony and probably turned insane, so that's why he went to Akaviri I guess. In Oblivion you turn into the Daedric lord of Madness, after everything you did, you go crazy. In Skyrim you get trapped in Apocrypha for the rest of eternity, just like Miraak. Miraak even hints at it in the final scene, "congratulating" you for you new position as the champion of Mora, as he once was, so it can be that you'll be trapped there like he was.

Regardless of the Dragonborns involvement someone requested the Dark Brotherhood assassinate the Emperor, and even if the Dragonborn had not joined they still would have attempted to assassinate him. The real question is if anyone else would have succeeded in his stead. It seems the Dark brotherhood is a shadow of it's former self so I'd assume it would be difficult to pull off.

When it comes to the Dark Brotherhood, all the murders would still happen in general. They are relentless in their contracts. Only the killing of the DB would be changed if you choose that path instead.

In my head canon once all the big bads are dead, all the quests complete, the Dragonborn builds a few places to live, settles down with a nice local and raises 2 adopted children and 2 natural children. These four study magic, combat, thievery, and assassination. The mage later follows in his(or her) mother(father's) footsteps and becomes Archmage. the warrior joins the companions and leads them to many victories, the thief becomes a nightingale. and the assassin becomes the next listener.

And after that settling down with his wife and daughters, farming and hunting. Spending quality time with his kids, teaching them to hunt, ride horses. (Sorry for my bad english but i have uinteresting theory about Daedra and Dragonborn) What IF DB (Dragonborn) sold his soul to EVERY daedric prince, with a cunning plan in his mind: he travels all around Skyrim alot, and he saw a lot of cults of Daedra and read a lot of books about Daedra, and he knows, that daedra can be wery useful as allies, they can give to you mighty weapon, unbrekable armor or powerful spells, but they will take your immortal soul as payment. But DB needed these "gifts" to defeat Alduin. And he decided too fool the daedra and do a "little trick" - he sold his soul to EVERY deadra, and when the pay day will come, he will be like: Hi guys! Want my tasty soul? OK! But WHO of you will take it? And then daedra will start their tipical selfish squabble about who must have DB soul. And when they arguing about his soul, he can easily escape to Sovngarde, or Cairn of Souls, Or he can become a vampire and live (or UNlive?) all eternity in fancy gothic castle. Or atleast, he can become SO powerful and collect so much allies at his side, that he might rebel against Daedra like Mirak, but in his case daedra will have no champion to defeat him. (Sorry again for my poor english)

MrVlad12340 You've just given me an idea. I reckon it would be fantastically cool in a Daedric quest, if you literally had part of your soul ripped out and enchanted/absorbed into a weapon, which you're then given. You can only have it done by a single Daedra though and thus you would be that Daedra's champion, unwillingly or not after that point.

But if mora is so powerful in his realm then why did he wait for the last dragonborn to defeat Mirrak first? I should let him go and re:evaluate my plans"

Hermaeus Mora can see the past and future. He actually already knew how this was all going to end and merely took steps to ensure the most interesting outcome for himself. He didn't intervene until he was certain the outcome was what he wanted, that being Miraak's death. Remember, he already knew Miraak was going to betray him and simply let the Dragonborn do his dirty work.

I believe that since Mirrak betrayed him, he needed a replacement. So by waiting for you to come and seek Mirraks death, you had to ask Mora for help and by doing so built yourself a debt to Mora. After all that, Mora got rid of its old servant and got a new one that witnessed Mora's power.

You have a good point. He obviously knew Miraak was trying to escape. If he was going to kill him anyway, why wait until you showed up? What purpose did Miraak serve that he kept him around to fight you? What if, and this just occurred to me, the Dragonborn's soul can never really die? Like dragons. People can kill dragons but they were revived by Alduin. That's why the Dragonborn is such a big deal. Because he can kill a dragon permanently. So what if Hermaus Mora could have killed Miraak, but not truly, since he had the soul of a dragon? And he needed you to fight him to make sure he truly died, since only the Dragonborn can destroy a dragon soul. Idk it's been a while since I've played I may be completely wrong. I forgot how exactly that fight ends.
