After Effects to Maya, how to bring a camera from film to Match 3D movement.

This is a review of a concept we covered in class, how do I match the movement of a camera in a film with my 3D objects? how do I make it appear my objects are in the film plate?.
We will track our film in After Effects and then we will match our 3d Objects to the movement of the film, we will also copy the light and shadows, of the film plate.

the best way usually is to use a skydome to light your 3d Objects and put a picture of your back plate on it, usually an HDRI is the best.

For some odd reason, I couldn't find where my AE3D maya file whenever I export the file. Please help :(

when you run the script you will see a new window show up, right on the the middle of it there is a button that says "browse" on it to the left of the name of the file, you can click on that button and select where to save. let me know if it works, I really need to remake this video.

Hey man, for some reason I cant get the sequence running in maya. I have tried with 2 different videos, but doesn't work. I got to import the first image and then click in the sequence bottom in the attributes but is not running when I playback. Any ideas? Thanks

More than likely it is the naming of the sequence. If your image sequence has any spaces dashes or symbols on the name maya will not like the files and not play it

I recommend you re-render the image sequence but change the name to something simple without spaces or symbols. And it should work

you mean when you run the script? are you setting it to save to the desktop? or somewhere else? do you have the camera and null selected when you run the script?
