Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. In March 2023 she launched her first Pop solo album "Paragon". THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

All from Nightwish's golden era. Endless Forms Most Beautiful and its successor are pretty bad.

towards the end of the song as she is looking down and the expression on her face made me tear up like throwing the computer out the window because it reminds me of that scene from the twisted sister video where the character neidermeijer the tall father looking dude looks at the kid and says to the kid listening playing that disgusting rock and roll music "what do you want to do with your life" and the kid says i wanna rock and neidermeijer dude gets blown out the window by the music. maybe im wrong with the metaphors and parallells here either way she was pretty good at expressing herself with the inner turmoil she was going through at the time i can see this song being quite cathartic and anthemic too for young women and girls because of the subject matter still what a good and powerful female role model for even the heavy metal community at that time and especially now with some folks and corporate executives telling you unless you do this or sing like this particular way you'll never make it in this town.
