It is true that some people never learn, but since we don't actually know this person, or really if this is a factual account, or just a fictional story, one can only hope that if it's true, he is wiser, and the new wife is a decent person. They also would have paid for any investigation and experts necessary for the defense of the case. 2. The judge had no authority to sentence anyone. A personal injury case is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. The judge would have had to refer the matter to the prosecuting attorney. 3. The judge had no authority to affect the lawyer's license. Only the state bar association can do that.

Agree, this is not how it works. If something like that happens, the first case is dismissed then a separate case can be open by the DA if he find that there’s enough proofs to criminally charge someone. Even in civil cases where you can counter sue someone who is suing you, you can’t have a verdict against a third party that was not part of the original case. That’s why I think that most of these stories are fake AF.

@@Pintosonic I've gathered all the holes others found beside the one I did: 1. Prison sentences of non Defendents in a civil trial. (lol) 2. Judge summarily suspending a law license. 3. The lawyer is also a superhero genius litigator who convinced the "non perp" witness to tearfully confess on the stand... instead of just hiring a private investigator. Let the private investigator contact the plaintiff on the street, and let him know that he can be in a lot of legal problems. Showing him photos of your ex-wife and Hank dating, and kissing. Mallory was kinda stupid, as is Hank. I mean... A question asked to Boris would've been, "What were you doing on my driveway?" Usually, people don't go onto driveways. And it's a DRIVEWAY, so... Yeah... OP wouldn't be going THAT fast, even if the driveway was long as he claimed. Hardly road speed. As for Boris... I honestly don't blame him. I mean, the man was homeless, so he was just desperate. I don't think he held a grudge towards OP, just that he wanted to have enough money to not live on the streets. So... I think Boris was just desperate and got dragged into this situation. Fortunately, the dude was honest, and I think he won't have a rough time in jail. Had he not been so desperate, I think Boris would've just refused outright. If I were OP, I'd consider putting him in the will, just to make him know I forgave him. Mallory and Hank, again, they weren't desperate, and deserve to be in prison. Pushing someone when they're down is SO CRUEL, and they got what they deserved.
