The worst part of the flight for a passenger is the endless wait to get off the plane!. Your videos have reignited that spark in me to be an aviator. I have wanted to be a pilot since the age of 7 when our first pc came with FS95 pre-installed. From that first (very pixelated) flight out of Meigs: it was all I ever wanted to be, even after I was told that it was a dream that could never come true when I was diagnosed with type I diabetes in 2001. Recently, after talking to some pilots volunteering with Project Wingman where I work, I learned that it might be possible for me to get a class I medical, since the rules about insulin dependent pilots changed in 2012. So I have resolved to do everything I can to make it happen one day. Thank you.

A note on single engine taxi. In real life you only operate the thrust lever of the operating engine. However, I'm hoping this is as bug, you currently have to operate both thrust levers (otherwise the engine just won't go for some reason). Important if you're using a throttle quadrant like the Honeycomb Bravo.

Thank you, again great video. If you want to have a better view on the overhead panel you might use custom cameras(All referred settings in "Cockpit camera"). Locate yourself to a better viewing angle with "de/inc cockpit view height" and "translate cockpit view left/right(also depth). Then use "save custom camera x" (maybe use for different views the keys of the numerical pad as it can provide "3d patterns" if you want to use more custom cameras, e.g. 7,8,9 for above views; 2 for down center pedestial etc... so you remember later) and save it to a key. With the setting "load custom camera x" you're ready to go. Very usable to get instant, good views on the main instruments. THX

Nice to see that the next video is regarding consecutive flights! I have a question regarding that: since the IRS can take quite some time to align, do you have a way to keep it "hot" and ready for the next flight? Or is this a non-issue, in the grand scheme of things?

Great video as usal, learning a lot from your videos before MSFS releases on Xbox in Summer. Quick note regarding single engine taxi: Would it be more sensible to shut off Eng 1? Thing is: If an emergency happens on ground and the aircraft had to be evacuated immediately, passengers would almost 100% surely look to leave the aircraft through the door(s) they came in. I guess it doesn't make a huge difference on an Airbus or Boeing with symmetrical door sizes on each side, but much more so on planes like Embraers for example, where the service doors are smaller than the pax doors. It might be overthinking for a sim tutorial which shouldn't have real world use, but hey, it's a thought. 😉

What you said about the APU not needing to be on for a one engine taxi on the NEO. Does that also apply to taxi out? As in can you taxi to runway on one engine without APU running and then just do a cross bleed start or would you still leave it running for the APU bleed to start the engines?

As usual, informative, of interest, and well presented. I'm wondering if you have encountered the following on the FBW NX mod? I departed from Hamburg in live (lousy) weather. The ECAM warned me of severe icing and indicated that I should set my engine switch to 'ignition.' Is this a real world occurrence and/or a procedure you would follow under these conditions?

You set altimeter to qnh in Europe. The numbers in brackets are the decision height, the numbers not in brackets are the decision altitude. You can only set one of these in the mcdu.

Possible a stupid question but.... you say the neo doesn’t need the apu for one engine taxi, but do you need it for taxi out to start the other engine or can you start engine 2 without the apu?
@320SimPilot3 жыл бұрын
Yes for taxi out you will use the APU bleed to start the second engine! It is possible to start it without the APU but it is a more complex procedure and requires you to be stationary. Thanks for watching and there are never any stupid questions here!

Hi ! Thanks a lot for your awesome videos. I´ve got a question, don´t know if it has been covered, but .. if you are flying a "planned" ILS approach (i.e. setting it up within the MFS2020 setup), and let´s say that you want a different approach, how do you program that in the FMDC? Also, if you have a go around, it really did not do as I thought it would as per your earlier video :) Anyway, thanks a lot - and hopefully I can get some insight in this.. Cheers
@salokin13 жыл бұрын
Just press on the destination and select a new runway / approach and "insert". Depending on where you are in the flight when you do this, sometimes in MSFS2020 the flightplan can become really muddled and the default ATC can become even more awful than usual!

Nice Video, thank you for your efforts. What is your opinion about the feeling of the MFS 20202 A320 neo? What do you think about the steering behaviour and the realism? I was flying the a320 neo at Xplane 11 created by JAR Design and I have to say, those two little birds are two different worlds in my eyes, especially in terms of control behaviour and "Flight feeling". Greetz from Germany!

Hey Mate. Another great video. But i have a couple questions. When i come to a complete stop at an airport, as soon as i shut down the engines, the sim stops and brings up quit page or a way of saying it is the sim stop all sound and dims the cockpit for you to exit the sim. Well i always prefer to shut down everything completely before exiting the sim. I do realize i can click continue after this happens and it will allow me to finish shutting everything down. Is there a way to turn this off? I would like to exit the sim when i press the esc key instead of the sim ending it before I'm finished. That is annoying to no end. Also, when you were talking about the APU. You explained what the APU bleed is for, but what does the APU Generator do and when do you turn that on? Thanks

My dear friend, first of all receive a warm greeting and best wishes of happy new year 2021 to you and the whole family. I wish you the best of life, peace, prosperity and success in all the plans that you undertake in this new year, but above all good health. I am bothering you today because I need your advice and wisdom that experience gives. I have had problems with my airplanes in the sense that when I have to taxi the runways at different airports, the turning radius, the ability to make curves either to exit or enter a runway, is not enough and I got stuck halfway around the curve. How can I increase the turning capacity of the front landing gear to be able to complete a curve without these problems. I see that you, in the different tutorials that you explain, turn the taxiways with impressive ease. Thanks for your help to solve this silly problem that is presenting itself to me. As additional information, I am using the joystick to make curves, I have deactivated the pedals because they also gave me those problems to do this maneuver and I thought it was them but no, with the joystick as well. I think it must be a misconfigured setting or something like that, but I've tried everything and nothing solves it. Greetings, Oswaldo

What happened if there is an APU failure? How do you turn the engine off without cutting power to the aircraft?

In this case the ground crew would need to connect the GPU before the engines are turned off. For this you would need to have set up clear procedures before arriving on stand.
