After Mark Defeats the Oldest Viltrumite, He Needs... | Invincible Season 3 Mark vs CONQUEST REMATCH #shorts #invincible #comics After Mark kills the Oldest Viltrumite in the Empire Conquest, Nolan and Oliver have to spend months on the planet protecting Mark as he heals but Nolan says this is the perfect chance to get to know eachother, as time goes by and we see Nolan hunting down some of the massive centipede like inhabitants of the planet because they haven’t eaten this entire time. Oliver says he’ll NEVER eat that because it looks disgusting, but when Nolan throws him a piece, we see that before long the two of them are MUNCHING down on this bug meat as Oliver even ask Omni Man if there’s any extra causing him to smile. As more time goes by we see Oliver draining the intestines of one of these creatures into Mark’s mouth to keep him hydrated as it’s been almost a month. Oliver asks Nolan if he actually loves Debbie, and Nolan says that it took him rotting in Viltrumite prison to realize it but he actually does, but this wouldn’t have been possible without his time on earth because Viltrumites don’t genuinely care about eachother like humans do, and that by itself changed him. Oliver admits that sometimes he thinks about his mom and the generations of thraxans that have lived since he’s left and gets sad, but he wants to take down the Viltrumites because they see him as inferior, as he finds even more bugs to snack on, and this father son bonding experience continues.

To answer 'Oliver is a cannibal' comments before they arrive: Bugs on Earth eat other bugs. Simply because they're under an umbrella term does not mean it's cannibalism. I'm pretty sure that is only if the DNAs are compatible. Mark became basically a full blooded viltrumite because Earthlings and Viltrumites match but Viltrumites and Thraxans' DNAs don't match hence why Oliver is much weaker than Mark.

They don't heal instantly, and thragg also didn't instantly heal from that.

Viltrumites have advanced, accelerated healing, which is different from regeneration. They can heal wounds that, for any normal creature, would be instantly fatal, like punctures through the stomach, intense blunt force trauma and ungodly amounts of blood loss. They can regrow small things, like teeth, broken spines and probably missing digits, but stuff like hands and especially decapitation is a no go. Their healing also isnt instant, but it is fast. If a viltrumite broke their arm, it would be healed in a couple weeks, whereas a human would need months of healing and careful monitoring for it to happen.
