Tom is so whiny, incapable, irresponsible, and clingy "third wheel" simp. This guy is so annoying and can't do anything for himself. Thinking he's some "hot shot" who exploit people's affection and wealth. This guy believes Mary loves him and voluntary divorce MC for him but he heard the recording that she wasn't going to divorce, he flipped out. These types of men, do exist and it's hard to shake them off because they just won't leave and cling on to you like a parasite. Mary is just emotional turmoil, indecisive and gullible woman. She just got carried away from Tom's daily advances and thinks Tom is her guilding light. The funny thing is these people do exist.

5/10. It was… o-k. The planning at the end was good. The subtle manipulation of a simpleton to force the only realistic ending was a decent resolution for the MC. Mary didn’t suffer enough full stop. Mary also didn’t suffer in enough detail or conclusively. Author you should work on that more. More detail, darker, more conclusive resolution. With her final setting written more bleak, more vile these both allow for feeling far more satisfied. Betrayal deserves no mercy and these stories are about nothing except betrayal and resolution. Just like punishment being proportional to the crime make endings mean something at the close so the reader has their time validated. After all, the darkest depth of the underworld is reserved for traitors. Marital betrayal should always be spotlighted with the most horrific and grim outcome for the betrayer.
