I’ve been weaned off hydrocodone twice in the last 6 months due to multiple surgeries and it’s HARD. The worst is the emotional roller coaster that you go through. The physical discomfort is nowhere near as bad as the weepy self pity feelings that come with weaning down. I’m praying for you Bonnie!!

Hi Bonnie I’m glad your doctor is weening you off the pills. I know you just had surgery and your still recovering but the reason why your entire body is aching is because that is part of the withdrawal symptoms. Your body is trying to adjust to you not having the amounts of pain killers you were originally taking so you’ll have body aches, headaches, mood swings, irritability, lethargy, trouble focusing..either way I hope you get better soon! Olivia reading Little Women melted my heart! My daughter was around Olivia's age when she read Little Women for the first time. Those classic books never get old. Great routine! I don't think you'd be a normal mom if you didn't have moments of insanity and breaking down. I have one child and some nights I have to slip off and just get a cry on for a few minutes because the night became so frustrating or something. Thank you for sharing this!

Why are so many people being so negative towards her. She wouldn't have done the surgery if she knew it wasn't going to be beneficial. She knew and felt that it needed to be done. She went through a very traumatic surgery. And very recently at that. A surgery like this, literally takes everything in you. She is a mother of 4 young children. It IS okay for her to break down. She is in pain and is doing the very best she can. She said her doctors are weaning her off of her pain meds. Her body is bound to have withdrawals. Its a part of the healing process. Please stop tearing her down. She deserves so much better than that. Keep being you Bonnie. You have an army of supporters behind you who love you!❤

I totally understand what you are going through Bonnie. I had back surgery 5 months ago. When they took me off those pain medications, the pain was overwhelming. I had no idea how addicting the medications were. It was hard, but I got through it, and you will get through it Bonnie❤️

Bonnie I commend you so much for being so strong through all of this. My dad has been dealing with incredible back pain for 12 years now and was heavily dependent on opioids and because of the crisis, his doctors have essentially cut all of his medication so he’s bed ridden because of his pain now. Lately he has been experimenting with essential oils and they have been working so well for him. They don’t take the pain away 100% but they help him cope. I also use them for my severe anxiety. I 100% recommend using some if you can find ones that will work for your specific pain and there are so many experienced people out there that know exactly what you would need!
