These guys don't get enough credit. One of the better bands of the modern era. Been a die-hard metal, hardcore, deathcore, prog metal fan for over 2 decades. Sumerian records has some of the best sounding and quality heavy music. After the burial and Born of osiris are fucking sick. Like the digital delay on the guitar in the breakdown.

This song sounded so good live. Whole album is so high-energy. I love After The Burial for not playing needlessly technical music & actually playing their instruments with feeling. It helps that Anthony Notormasso is one of the most heartfelt lyricists out there and a damned capable metal vocalist/frontman. It seems it's impossible for this band to release anything that is weak.
@Calibur4311 жыл бұрын
Wonderful wording about Anthony, so true beyond belief, I thought In Dreams had some of the most deepest most substance composed lyrics ever. Personal favorite of that album, "So this is goodbye but I'm afraid to speak." It's like we are afraid to accept loss.

Listening to this I was thinking how the hell would they do this one live just cause of the precision and the amount of timings that could get easily fucked up but I should have figured they could pull it off.

The sway of distance A suffering march Lives tremble on and on We usher burdens that see us through Blinding light emanates guiding me from within For I am just part of who I was back then Where we were. When this all began Inside this vision I am no longer in control of my own life Sickened by surroundings. Occupied and weak Tangled and desperate I expand I am paper thin. Lines etched and carved from misery Somebody help me please. Because I can never leave this place I am afraid of becoming you I'll deconstruct my self For I am just a part of who I was Where we were. When this all began Something inside me. After listening to this album id have to conclude that this is the most pinnacle sounding ATB album out there. Whilst might being less technical overall, they still showcase their technicality in other parts throughout the songs while providing soul through melodies and groovy time signatures. This album is unmatched, and ATB deserves to go down in metal history.

Very understandable. You've acknowledged the facts, the reality. A similar experience I have and do endure. Music like this helps strengthen my resolve to persevere. The pain that yourself, others, and I've felt, no being deserves. Though it is only through this suffering and confusion that true growth and human development can occur. We are of a minority vanguard for the evolution of the human experience. Our individual suffering is unfair, though we must prevail for the sake of participating in the liberation of millions upon millions of others currently and yet to suffer.
