It's just one of those things really. I mean when Whitney Houston sings, you can hear the emotion in her voice. Same kinda deal when this dude played his guitar, you can sense the emotion.

The beginning is all just guitar with dotted eighth delay on it by the way, and the guy playing it, Justin, died last year under some particularly sad circumstances so it sort of adds up when you hear the sad sounding intro. I agree about the vocals though, not my sort of thing either.

The only 'interesting' part of the song--- the lead w/ delay is tacky because the thing that makes it interesting is that it's saturated with effects. Bland vocals and drumming. Rareform was a much better album. Compare this song to Meshuggah's Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion.
